Overall
Millersville Speed Traps & Hazards

If traveling anywhere in middle TN, every local will tell you that , ""Millersbville has the worst speed traps."" Millersville Police run a racket on the 31W. This stretch of road runs parrell with the I-65. They sit just over the ridge and write ticket after ticket. The 31 is posted 45 on the downhill grade adding to their advantage. They also patrol the I-65 like they are State Troops or something. They are one of the only Police Departments in the State that increase their local revenue on the State Troopers turf. They don't know how to patrol it either, because the officers frequently pull into traffic, nearly causing accidents to I-65 Drivers. It has been noted that they use to sit at the bottom of the I-65 grade and then cars slammed their brakes. Finally there was an accident with a big rig to to the police sitting hazard.
Let get to the best part of the Millersville PD. Traffic school is a joke. I am a safety engineer for a large stamping plant and I know about safety. After getting my ridge ticket, I signed up for their Safety class. 40 people at $95 a pop, showed up, only to be let go because the Motorcycle officer who gave the class, had to leave to attend to an accident or issue on the I-65. We were in the class for 10 minutes and then excused. Some would be happy at that, yet Traffic School should never be taken lightly unless it's just for revenue, which it is for the City of Millersville. The 10 minute class was basically a ""Bad Mouth Session"" of the neighboring town of White House.
TN is the south. The Dukes of Hazards may have been a concept from Millersville. Smokie and the bandit was filmed in the south as well, so I guess you just need to suck it up and get a Radar Unit. I did and it works great in all sourthern states. It's a Belltronics 955..get one and go around Millersville. White House is a nice town by the way.
