Overall review 1 star. Professionalism 1 star. The other two have received 5 because it's not the other staffs fault that one staff member stands out more than any anyone I have ever experienced in 35 YEARS. Today I had an appointment. When I went to the pharmacy to fill one of my medications, I was told I could not pick up my medicine because it was waiting for me at another pharmacy. At first, I didn't understand what the problem was. My first thought was let me call the doctor. They should be able to clear this up, no problem. Betty was not only rude and unprofessional but did not help me AT ALL. She said, and I quote, "If Rite Aid says you can't pick it up until April 24th than you have to wait." I said, "I haven't picked up this prescription since FEBRUARY 2018". It was pretty simple. After getting off the phone and still being nice to this RUDE person, the pharmacist explained to me that THE DOCTORS OFFICE more than likely signed an AUTHORIZATION for me to pick up my medicine at another pharmacy without my permission or even my knowledge. After calling around I figured out that my medication was sitting on a SHELF since March the 24th, 2018 that I had NEVER PICKED UP, messing me all up when I went to fill my prescription earlier today. This was SOMEONE'S OBVIOUS and honest mistake at that office somewhere down the line. NOT MINE. I just come once a month or every other month to be seen. I've always been 100% cooperative, friendly and they have never had ONE ISSUE with me. I was able to figure out the problem. Rite Aid FILLED MY PRESCRIPTION after the mistake was corrected. An obvious, simple mistake on that of the pharmacy or the office. When I called the office, thinking they may be worried about their PATIENT trying to pick up their NON NARCOTIC medication, to let them know that all was well, that Betty woman LITERALLY accused me of illegal activity. This has triggered my mental disorder and put unnecessary anxiety and was a traumatic experience and I will be consulting an attorney on this matter. I don't appreciate being accused of something I didn't do. That is RIDICULOUS.
