My friend took me here on Saturday night for my birthday dinner and everything was AMAZING. From the romantic setting, impeccable service to the delicious food and drink, everything was perfect. The restaurant itself is quite small, but the seating is well laid out so it doesn't feel cramped. Both the host and our server were great. Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful. He was knowledgeable about the menu and able to suggest dishes and recommend his favorites. DELICIOUS dishes we ate:- Bruschetta (from the specials menu)- Lasagna (from the specials menu)- Tonnarelli alla Capricciosa (Housemade pasta in light cream sauce with porcini mushrooms and Italian sausage)We washed down our dinner with a bottle of their featured Italian white wine which complimented the dinner nicely.I find that I rarely eat Italian food now that I live in Glendale (as opposed to growing up in NJ) but Gennaro's RIstorante will certainly change that!
Two Guys from Italy is relatively near (walking distance) from my home. As such, from time-to-time, I get the hankering for Italian and cave to working off the carbs by going local. What I keep forgetting is... this place isn't all that good. Went again last night and gosh was it disappointing. Typically, I will have pleasant wait-staff. But last night... took 10 minutes (after being seated) to get the attention needed to get a menu. And I seemed to be an imposition. Further, my order did not come out correctly. The food is just "ok". I recommend another Italian option in Glendale unless if you have tons of time to spare and like your order straight off the menu.
I really enjoyed Gennaro's the last time I came, and I was wandering around the area so decided to come back. I got the special pasta dish of the day - seafood with spaghetti. The flavor was good and the spaghetti was cooked al dente. I wasn't impressed with the seafood though. The shrimp was overcooked and the fish and mussels were also slightly overcooked. The calamari had good texture.I would still come back to get the spinach gnocchi or maybe try other things, and the service was still good and the ambiance cute
Stopped by here yesterday because I was too tired after work to cook and so glad I did! The outside looks a little divey but the inside is clean and rustic. Service was attentive and kind and the food was amazing! Had the chicken marsala and it was flavorful and good portions. The garlic bread they have reminds me of what my mom used to make. Got a bottle of wine for $22 and walked all the way home! Will definitely try delivery next time too. Great little spot. Might even hangout by the bar next time.
Oh so cute. This place is a perfect spot for a flavourful romantic dinner. The calamari appetizer was the best I have ever had. I could just sit there and keep eating that alone. But I did move on. Everything was fresh and authentic. I felt like I was back in Italy. They also had a fantastic selection of wine to complement our dinner. It was a perfect little night, at a perfect little restaurant.Donna H
We always order from them and get the Chicken Panini. I love how when you call, they recognize your voice and already know where you live. They pay VERY close attention to customer details and work very hard to ensure your satisfaction. The delivery man is very friendly and it is good that once in a while you can get something other than pizza delivered to your home. Highly recommended!!! 5/5
I work down the street, so I always order online, before noon, for pickup. (If you wait till noon to order there, the line gets long fast. However, to give them credit the line usually moves pretty fast.) On the downside there's not much seating... Highly recommend the wraps. The SoCal Wrap is my fav. My coworker loves their monstrous sandwiches. No real complaints here.
Located near the corner of Brand and Wilson right next to Chipotle. Walking distance from Americans and the mall. Basically you go up to the counter and pick your cheese, your sauce and your toppings and then within minutes you have a pizza for like $8.25. Great quick lunch option. Great condiments section. Beer on tap but I'll have to go on a non work day to try it out!
Our office had a catering order for breakfast and for lunch last week and it was delicious. We ordered the Rise N' Shine Platter and their fresh hand squeezed Orange Juice. I can tell that the OJ was the best I had. And for lunch, we had their Taco Buffet that was also great. They provided us with everything we needed and it was 2 thumbs up.
