I ordered from them and was not impressed. The kon pao beef was salty and not spicy. The smoky chicken was overly sweet but had nice moisture. Really unfortunate considering they boast about their attention to detail on their website. Also their ribs taste like they are marinated in perfume as opposed to spices. Kinda strange flavor. Wouldn't order from them again, especially if I need rice to cut the overwhelming flavor.

My husband and I have been searching for a great replacement for our favorite Chinese restaurant that closed 3 years ago because they lost their lease. In the Glendale/Eagle Rock/Pasadena area there aren't that many good choices. FINALLY, just two weeks ago we found Fortune Inn. Their menu has good variety and it's not the same 6 menu items where they simply swap out the meat. My husband loves the orange chicken with the smoke and the fried rice with curry. My current favorites are the shrimp in lobster sauce and their ma por tofu with the shiitake mushrooms. I like that they allow spiciness levels, as my husband is a ""HOT"" and I'm just a ""MEDIUM"". We've also ordered delivery from Fortune Inn and they come into Eagle Rock for us. I LOVE THAT. We are currently devoted to Fortune Inn.

The last guy is crazy, for those of us that DO eat meat, this place is fantastic. The walnut shrimp is so good it could be dessert, the service is amazing and I have never had anything that was less than incredible. I have eaten chineese food all over the world and this place is my favorite. Have the walnit shrimp, you'll thank me.

So this place gets great reviews but we haven't seen the food match the praise. The first time we got the walnut shrimp, vegies, and a chow fun noodle dish. I've eaten Chinese food in Vancouver and San Francisco so I think I have pretty good taste. Since we are both vegitarians we were sure to ask ""is there meat in this?"" we don't want meat. the chow fun dish came, looked okay but there was meat... hidden under the noodles, lurking behind the vegies. the shrimp were good though. the second time we went just a few days ago, we ordered the shrimp, eggplant and the special tofu dish. This time the walnuts shrimp weren't cooked well enough to take the cornstarch taste out, the tofu was way salty, and the eggplant was inconsistently cooked, some pieces were raw others overcooked.. do yourself a favor and miss this place, if you are a vegitarian, want well cooked food and have a poor salt tolerance. go to china town instead.

This is my favorite restaurant in the Glendale area. I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years. They have a really tasty variety of chinese food. My favorite dish here is the kung pao fish fillet. It is truely amazing. If you love fish and you go there you must try this dish. I have to let people know that if you want good food, good service at a real reasonable price, then this is a place you really have to go to. The atmosphere is also really nice, so it would be ideal to go there on a date.

My boyfriend and I love Fortune Inn. We have been going there for 5 years and always enjoy the food and service. The kung pao, sweet and pungent chicken, eggrolls, and the chicken and corn soup are great. The people who work there are very nice and we enjoy talking to them. Yummy crispy noodles with sweet and sour sauce before the meal, along with tea, and a tasty vanilla fortune cookie. Great prices too!

This is a little golden palace in Glendale. The service is excellent and the staff seems to remember everyone as they return. Food of all tastes. From hot and spicy to smokey to mild. Your pallet will not be disappointed. It is not like the average chinese restaurant where all the dishes are covered with cabbage and soggy vegies. The vegies are fresh and cooked to order. They also have a full service bar for your drinking pleasure. My hat is off to the owner. They also validate parking at the convenient garage behind them.

I was expecting this place to be on the order of Yukean Kang or at least Kung Pao Bistor give the rating of 9.5. Its a nice place. Reasonably priced. Center of Glendale. The food is not in the same league of the aforementioned est. The egg rolls were chemical tasting and the sauces where heavy and sticky. The meat was not the best cut. etc. etc. etc. I wrote this review not so much cause I didnt like this place.. I just dont think it deserves a 9.5

We *love* this place, and so do all of our friends!! We are the only ones in our group that live on this side of town, but we have friends from as far away as Fontana suggest getting together at Fortune, even those who disliked Chinese before they ate here. Try the Smoky Beef, Nutty Chicken and Green Beans. The hub likes the chili sauce, too.

I love this place. My husband and I go here on a regualr basis. The food is always served hot and prompty. All the servers know who we are and what we usually order. They are always willing to make accomidations for large group (we had 30 people and the service was just as good as always).

Absolutely incredible! The food is tasty and fresh, no greasy after taste. Decor is casual, friendly staff, and they validate your parking ticket. Lunch specials and you get so much food, complimentary hot tea. You will leave satisifed and your body will thank you for putting something healthy and nutritious into it.

Nobody I've spoken with has a bad thing to say about this place. It's quiet, the service is excellent, and I haven't had a dish I haven't liked there. I recommend the szechuan shredded chicken, the sweet & sour soup, and the walnut shrimp. This is a staple for my fiancee and I.
