The room was clean (my 7 year old daughter even made me take a black light flash light she has to be 100% sure there are no bed bugs -- which there was no sign of and everything else looked good too). I was there for a week, and it was quiet the whole time, even though it appeared to be at almost full occupancy.

We had reserved two nights at the Omni Hotel Downtown Los Angeles - an Internet special. We'd stayed there before, so it wasn't anything exciting, just convenient. However, I was shocked at the $30/night valet parking fee, which certainly ate up the Internet special. So, we checked out the next day and proceeded to find another place. We found Chariot Inn in Glendale through a Blackberry search. A motor inn, looks like many motels you see along Los Angeles streets. But it met our needs perfectly. Yes, as the YELP reviewer said, the lobby/check-in desk had the sweet subtle smell of curry, and the Indian-American hosts were gracious, gentle, and welcoming. The room was immaculately clean. Our sleep was quiet and solid. Best of all, we paid 1/2 what we paid for the Omni.
I really like the area and place since it near the freeway and convenient for food/gas/rest. I would definitely come back again since I had a good room and the experiences of my night was really restful.
Rooms are spacious and there is a good size mini fridge and large flat screen TV. Great value and does not feel cheap.
This review will be lengthy because I went through EVERY inch of our room to make sure it was up to my standard and right for our new family. Seeing as my one year old daughter was going to crawl around on the floor and sleep in the bed, I had to make sure everything was just right. My husband and I live in the High Desert of California, but we needed a good place to stay one night as we were going from Long Beach to LA (Aquarium to the Zoo), to celebrate our daughters first birthday. So finding a great place was on the top of our list, even if was just for one night. First, there are MANY hotels in this area- on every block, in fact. This hotel was great looking on the outside, freshly painted and had a nice little veranda which was attractive. The parking lot was small, but it was a great fit and the cars that were parked there were nice, newer ones. Upon entering the room, my first priority was to do my inspection. I checked EVERY. SINGLE. CORNER. Under the bed. Behind the toilet. In every drawer. Underneath the table and chairs. Pulled back the sheet and under the pillows. Checked the outlets to make sure they all worked. All the furniture was dusted, and in great shape. And the one thing that made me super happy...THE TOILET WATER HAD A BLUE CLOUDY TINT TO IT!! You know how when you use Ajax in your toilet, you get that blue cloudiness to it so you know its clean? It was like that. As a clean freak-type that made me happy :) There were no spiderwebs, no crumbs on the floor... it was pretty awesome. I guess my only complaint, would be the shower faucet. The "hot" and "cold" indicator was opposite. Meaning, when I turned the dial towards "hot" the water was actually cold, and when I turned the dial towards "cold", it was the hot water. Considering how please I was with everything else, it wasn't a big deal at all. The comp breakfast was awesome! There is orange juice, coffee, hot water for tea, and milk for cereal. 2 types of cereal: bran and fruit loops. There were english muffins and bread to toast (butter and jam to spread also!), mini muffins, and the best of all: A WAFFLE MAKER! The batter is available for you to pour in your mixture and let it cook and then the light will go off and voila! Fresh waffles! Customer service was terrific!! When I booked over the phone Arvind was kind, and when my husband checked in he said the same! We saw housekeeping working in the morning and at night, which was a good sign to me that they are hardworking at making their guests happy and comfortable. All in all, I give it the highest review I can. I a 100% happy with our stay and we will book again for sure. I will recommend it to anyone!! Thank you, Arvind, and your team for making this new family comfortable which was our main priority :)
I recently stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Los Angeles. Not too far a commute from the city and back. Really enjoyed coming back to clean sheets and towels everyday. Area seemed safe and definitely didn't fear for my car's security. Me and my boyfriend even walked around the area past 9pm with no incidents. What really made me glad I stayed here was the friendly & accommodating staff. The owner even recognized me and my boyfriend as we were coming back from the city one day and greeted us. Very nice people running a comfortable inn.
Room was large and clean and neighborhood seemed ok. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked well.
The man at the front greeted us warmly (despite the fact we did not get there until 9:00 pm) and was quick to get us settled. The room was clean and larger than I expected. It had basic amenities, and a large TV that, unfortunately, did not have clear reception. The cleaning staff did a great job of replenishing the amenities and I did not have them bother me while I was still in the room (like other maids have before.) They also had free parking, Wi-Fi and right across the street was a Taco Bell, Chinese take out and a Jack-in-the-Box. I think for 3 nights I paid about $180.00, and I booked them back in early September. It was in a great part of town, and only took us about 20 minutes to get to Universal Studios. I think it was also about a 20 minute drive from the hotel to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and it was mostly freeway. Overall I was very pleased with this hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I was ever in Hollywood!
Clean, quiet, right on the main st (Colorado) the owner-manager lives on site, very responsive and helpful. Coffee in the morning, too.
We were greeted by a very nice gentleman at the front desk, he got us checked in fast. Our room was clean and basic, no frills. A fridge and microwave were available for use as well as an iron and a blow dryer. The TV was a nice size, and had a decent selection of channels to watch
