I have been shopping at Alva Beauty for a number of years, and it was a wonderful day when I found them. Alex has always been wonderful to work with and the front staff are very helpful in finding what I need. Anytime I need repairs, Alex has been there for me. He is very fair. I would recommend this company to anyone in the Medical Spa business.
I called Alva Beauty after aggressively shopping for a couple facial beds for my aesthetician studio. I found the quality unparalleled in comparison to those other sites I had visited. Shopping for anything online is quite the challenge, however their YouTube videos offered me a ton of perspective, and gave me the knowledge I so desperately needed as first-time buyer.But what stood out even more than that, was the customer service I experienced when I placed a call to inquire about the items I was interested in. Ofelia was exceptionally pleasant, and Alex's approach was most sincere. I never felt like their goal was my purchase, instead they sought to make sure their products were the right fit for my needs. Because of that, I will always remain a customer!!
Not only does Alva Beauty offer everything you could possibly need for your Medi Spa but they stand behind their products as well. One of four chairs purchased gave us a problem in the fourth month. Ofelia ( customer service) was wonderful in helping to get this resolved. When it was determined that the chair was not able to be repaired Alex from Alva agreed to send us a brand new chair...value $2750.00 for free. We only paid the costs to ship. I will only use Alva in the future. They conduct their business with dignity as I conduct mine.Theresa C.
Everything was great until having our Mastero bed for 3 weeks. The vinyl on the bed tore, its obviously in a spot where the back of the bed rubs on the body of the chair. We contacted Alex and asked him to make good on this for a fix. He wanted us to pay to have a 3rd party come out and evaluate the bed, but they would pay for repairs if it was something from the bed or we could ship it back to LA. Either way we would be out a few hundred dollars. The problem here is that this is a design flaw. The two pieces obviously rub, there is a huge indent in the bed where the plastic piece rubs continually. This will happen to every bed we purchased from them. They will not take responsibility for selling a defective bed. It is upsetting to work with a company that offers great customer service until something goes wrong with the product. Which seems to be a trend with them. Very disappointed. They should stand behind the products they offer!
5/2012-Spa Mgr replaced 4 hot towel cabinets (1 per spa room)and purchased 1 oversized hot towel cabinet (spa hallway). She worked w/ Alex and communicated our requirement that the 4 cabinets must have a drop-down door (web showed swing doors)-Alex said he could source & sell us drop-down units.6/15-Rec’d 5 units. Began use on 6/30 (due to arrival of spa carts from another company).8/25-Lynne learned that unit 4 would turn itself off & the oversized unit would not stay on. 9/5-Called Alva, and received approval to have our maintenance man, Paul to look at the unit w/out voiding any warranties.9/21-Room4 unit stopped working. Paul said unit is cheaply made & to send it back under warranty.9/27-Paul talked to Alex and they determined to bypass the switch on the oversized unit, and we would turn off the unit by pulling the plug from the outlet. Alex shipped parts.10/4-Room1 unit stopped working.10/5-Paul replaced parts-oversized unit came on, but did not reach correct temp-we ceased use.10/10-I called Alex-oversized unit still not working, he said, “then your technician doesn’t know what he’s doing.” I asked him to call when the unit I sent was looked at to see what to do with the other non-working units. Alex accused the staff for mishandling equipment.10/11-Room4 unit rec’d by Alva. Alex accused me of sending a random unit back & did not have any record from his vendors. I reminded him of the cabinet door drop-down requirement. Alex dismissed the warranty & said I could purchase new units or pay repair costs. Told him I wanted a refund for everything.10/12-Room3 unit stopped working.The customer service from Alex has been nothing but terrible. I have left out all the times that he interrupted me, would not let me finish any sentences, the terrible tone and best of all the accusations that he has made. I still cannot believe this is the way that he treats his customers… until I read the BBB and other online reviews. As described in the different reviews, this company routinely: faults the staff for breaking items, is rude and belligerent, refuses to honor warranties, sells junk, does not take proper steps to resolve issues, and does not stand behind their word. It is unbelievable that the poor customer service and rudeness continues to be displayed through the company’s responses to the complaints that are on the Better Business Bureau’s web site.I am looking to receive a full refund $1198.96 from Alva Beauty.
