This place is a joke...Was treated with disrespect and attitude. What a waste of my time. Buyer beware!
My favorite and go to record store in L.A. I recently got back into collecting and after reading the book The Record Store Book I started checking out some of the stores highlighted that I hadn't visited in the past.I've visited about 28-30 of the stores in that book and now I have narrowed by shopping to a 4-5 stores. Mono Records has some of the best prices in town. On one trip I purchased Blue Cheer for $10 bucks and stopped by Rockaway minutes and the record in the same condition for $30. Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream (UK Pressing) for $35- twice as much online. The stock is always changing. You might visit and not find anything you're looking for, but make sure to come back and I'm sure you'll find that record you wanted at a much better price than the other record stores from Highland Park to Hollywood.I'm only shopping at these stores now:- Mono Records- Record Jungle- Gimme Gimme Records- Atomic RecordsAnd on occasion if I'm in the area I shop at Soundsations.
After searching far and wide for a good piano at the right price, I found Southern California Music Company fit the bill. They had a good selection of new and used pianos in excellent condition, and were very easy to work with. Mario took the time to answer all my questions, never made a hard sale, and was patient with my many questions. I ended up buying a new piano from them, felt like I got a very reasonable price, and the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend them!
Varied selection, excellent prices. Located just off the 2 in Echo Park, this small, but excellently edited store offers excellent choices overall in a wide variety of styles - think reggae, rock, r&b, funk, jazz - at very good prices. Personable and knowledgeable staff, what's not to like.
