A-1 Ted's Appliances

I went to A-1 Ted's Appliances after my washer was making a terrible noise during the spin cycle. My husband loaded the machine on our truck in the morning and I drove it there to be looked at since he was going to be at work. The owner, Ted, was such a nice and helpful man. I, also, had my 17 month old daughter with me and he didn't flinch or express any sort of annoyance that I had her with me. After I described what was happening when I was washing clothes, he explained there were a few different reasons for the noise and that one reason would be worth repairing and the other would not be due to costs of parts. I paid for the in shop service fee of $25, which is truly a bargain compared to other shops and was told I would be called about the washer. Ted called back to his service guys and one came up to unload the washer. He was so careful not to cause damage to my truck or washer while removing it. He just really had great customer service. While there, I happened to glance at a nice refrigerator that caught my eye. I left the shop and went home. By the early afternoon, I received a call from a gentleman named Lonnie and he explained that my washer was worth repairing. I was so grateful, because it was a front loader machine and they are not the cheapest to replace. They could have easily said it was not worth it and I would have purchased a new machine. Instead, I simply had to pay $65 for the repair! I agreed with the costs and gave the okay to repair. I, then, spoke with my husband about the refrigerator I saw and we agreed to buy it since we needed a new one soon. I called back to the shop and spoke with Ted about wanting to get the refrigerator as well. He was very nice and offered to deliver the washer with the refrigerator later that afternoon when the washer was complete. My fixed washer and a new refrigerator delivered on that same day?! I never write reviews, but to have that sort of service from a business is such a nice change. I had to write about my experience and the great service I received. Thanks A-1 Ted's Appliances! I will refer you to all my friends and family.

They came and fixed an old refridgerator.

I later bought a used larger refrigerator from them.

I have had no problems with it.

I called Ted's looking for a gas range for a rental unit. The salesman quoted a price of $329 for a bisque color. When I arrived at the store there was a sold sign on it and a piece of masking tape with "NEW $369.00". The salesman said this was the one. I told him he had quoted $329 over the phone. He denied it. When I pressed he finally admitted he quoted $329. He then said the owner paid more for it and now he had to get $369. I asked him why he quoted $329 and why he wouldn't honor the price. He said the owner wanted $369. I left when he refused to honor the price. Luck was on my side though. After doing a little research online I discovered the same item under a different brand for $254.95. I ordered it and picked it up at a warehouse. Now I have a nicer dealer, who honors their prices and, with a better deal then Ted's. All my appliance business will go them from now on. Bye Ted's, thanks for the screwing. I'll now save myself a couple thousand on refrigerators and stoves for the remodels.
