4 of us went here before a preseason Mavs game. We order the Fajita Platter and hoped that we could share it, between two of us at $22 for the PLATTER. When we got the bill we were each charged a Split fee of $6 just for sharing. No second set up of guac and sour cream or anything, just a split fee. We didn't even get a second plate. Nowhere is it even mentioned that there will be this fee. There isn't one on Forest!! After that, we got our bills and noticed the fee. I tipped $5.50 on my $25 ticket, and then in a rush, couldn't find my "eaters" copy of my receipt to fill in. In a hurry they all grabbed their receipts and we headed out. 2 days later the charge cleared with a slightly higher charge of $8.50 for tip. I have contacted them and yet to hear anything back. I don't have a copy of my receipt, and I don't want a refund. I just want to make them aware that someone on their staff is stealing from some people at this restaurant. I would hope for higher morals and customer service in such a high end location. I have another friend who was over tipped about 3 weeks ago at the same location before a stars game. We thought it might be a fluke, but now it seems way to coincidental.
Breakfast all day and a familiar menu of Tex Mex greatest hits on this menu. The Pollo Con Vegetables is a huge dish: a massive two-breast grilled chicken (or one massive earthly creation) buried under a massive mound of perfectly grilled veggies is delicious and large enough to serve two (or …

We have been going here almost since it opened. The service has always been good. The hot sauce is sometimes a little too hot but it is the best and its addictive. My whole family will hardly go anywhere else. My husband and I both have gotten the beef fajitas and ours have always been tender.
This is the BEST Tex-Mex around!!! Try their signature entrées and The Mariano Margarita!!! The atmosphere is so cool and inviting... fun fact: the owner invented the frozen margarita machine. The service is excellent. They take great care of you. This is also a great place to bring your kids.
I recently tried out Bandito's Tex Mex - and I will be back again and again I'm sure! I liked the decor a lot, and will be checking out the patio on my next visit. I grabbed their chicken burrito ""to-go"" and was extremely happy with my menu choice once I got back to my office. Very creamy and …

We always stop at Freebirds on our way to any Mavs or Stars game. It is the perfect alternative to the overpriced and tasteless concessions at the game. I always go for the half bird. It's smaller than the full sized burrito, but it is MORE than enough for me. Load it with chicken, rice, beans, …
RJ Mexican Cuisine: Great Seafood - Steaks - Chicken - Ribs Dallas, TX Review Date: 08/27/2008 OH My Goodness... I wasn't really in the mood for Mexican Food when I walked in there but I kept an open mind and I was blown away. Starting with the hot and spicy salsa...it wasn't enough to drive me away from it but it was enough to make my nose run and want some water. It was delish! I order Tacos and they were wonderful. Although I expected to get a typical taco with meat, cheese, lettuce and so but it came out with just meat and cheese and I was surprised with how much flavor it boasted. It came with a side of refried beans (which I usually hate) but they were also wonderful, slightly creamier than normal but they drew in a wonderful garlic accent with some additional spices I couldn't put my toungue on. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was wonderful and a delight, RJ even opened the door for us. Even though it was raining, they opened up the patio for us so we could have a drink out there and be able to smoke. I would definately revisit them and I would recommend it to anyone.
Today we were eating at our "favorite" downtown location of El Fenix and the "new" addition to the very loud music gave me a headache. This addition was completly unneeded the restaurant is a great meeting place for clients and for people to talk business and friends to visit. We have eaten at this location for over 50 years and brought our children up coming to El Fenix. The "new" owners really have made a mistake adding this music, it is hard to give the wait people an order even, let alone visit. The couple we were with today drove 90 miles to come to El Fenix and eat and visit. Visiting was out of the question. I told Elle that the music was terrible as we were leaving, she could barely hear me. Food was great as usual don't mess with it. Maybe play that music when no one is there only. Marian Gibson email@example.com / 214-827-2261 Your Senior Citizen patrons do not care for the loud music, hope you realize we do make a difference and listen to us.
This restaurant is beautiful,we were with some friends this past wednesday we started with the melted cheese (diping Cheese),and our margaritas were served in these fish bowl looking glasses, great margaritas!!!! we ordered our food, when it came out i was really surprice with the taste of it,great flavor over all everything was excelent,i will recoment this place to all my friends, decor is phenomenal, the manager came to the table intoduce him self i don't remenber his name, but the fact that came to check on us did make us feel welcome and important that even he asked what we think about the restaurant if we think that some changes need to be made on certain things, one think that we point it out was the lights, that they were too bright, my friend told me she went back on friday and to her surprise lights were set perfect!!
This place should be the model for all neighborhood Mexican restaurants in the world! I was fortunate enough to happen upon the Forest/Marsh location when I moved into the area. Now, whether I move or stay, this is my official favorite Tex-Mex place on the planet. The friendly staff treated me like family the first time I walked in the door, and that has never changed. And the food has the distinction of being reliably excellent without being boring--no small feat in these parts. Previously my only qualm was that the place was too small to accommodate the large crowds on some nights, but they've even taken care of that via a smart remodeling job. Plainly put, these folks just know how to run a restaurant. How refreshing!
I haven't eaten at this restaurant in many years and thought I would try it again since I moved back to the old neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was still clean and had maintained it's high standard in quality and service. Everything I have tried there is wonderful, the salsa has a clean tomato flavor with that wonderful cilantro. My husband's palate runs more towards the Taco ???? chains but he loves their Steak Burritos and Gorditas and has just asked me to place our lunch order @ ZUZU's. I highly recommend you try it, you will not be disappointed. A big 5 star rating in my book. Good food for a good price!
We went for dinner before going to Fair Music Hall to see a play (Wicked, which excellent, by the way). What a unique treat! There were 4 of us, and waiter suggested that we each order one plate from each region (Spain, Meditteranean, India) and share. So we had 12 plates total + dessert (so 16 total). Each dish was better than the next. I am not the biggest Indian food fan, so I was delighted with the choices. Spain was by far my favorite but it was all delicious. Be sure to order the butter tandoori chicken and the calamair with black rice. Stephan Pyle himself came out to meet us after our meal, so we felt really special!
Tried the three-week old restaurant Friday night. The staff was Extremely friendly (is it possible to be Too nice?) We found the decor to be non-existent, aside from pretty wall paint. The salsa was excellent, refried beans and rice forgettable, but the beans in the cup with juice were great. My friend's enchiladas casero were under seasoned, dryish and strange somehow, my grilled chicken with poblanos, onions and cheese was cooked well, but the waiter had to point out where the cheese was on the chicken (not a good place to skimp!) I had to use my glasses. Because it's close, we'll give them another chance to get it right.
Uncle Julio's is a good Tx-Mex resturant. Very popular. The bad things about it are ... It is very popular, so may have to wait on a table and the menu is a bit pricey. Now the good news. Unclie Julio's the without any question in my mind the very best place for beef Fajita's in Texas. They ought to market their beef marinade. If they did they would make a fortune. Twenty years ago when I first started going to Uncle Julio's they were very reasonably priced. I blame Addison and the Addison store for driving prices up. Still, if you tatste Uncle Julio's beef fahita's, every other fahita you ever eat will seem second best.
