The facility is nice but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I had my son's birthday party there and the old lady at front desk made my friend sign in her 7 month old son for the party which meant we had to pay for him. At $26 per kid I was not willing to pay for a baby who not be playing. She rushed us to pay and I didn't realize I paid for the baby. When I did I asked her for a refund she told me there were no refunds and she snatched the sign up sheet out of my hand and tried to rip it up. I asked her for the manager and of course she said she was the manager. I asked her for whoever was her manager's phone number and told me he can't be reached on the weekend and they don't give his number. My son really loves this place but needless to say I will not be going back and I do not recommend that any else go there either if this is how they treat their customers.
Today we went to Circus Playhouse in the mall at Virginia Center Commons because I had a Groupon there. We hyped Ryan up and took him inside where he was SO excited to jump on all of the inflatables. It's only ten dollars to jump, and I paid 7 bucks for Ryan's admission ticket, so I was glad he had something inexpensive to do indoors on such a chilly day. The woman was old and cranky, and she informed me that my Groupon was only good on the weekdays. My voucher was a gift, so I pulled it up to double check. It said nothing about being full price on weekends, so I asked if she would honor the Groupon or if I could use mine and pay the three additional dollars in cash. The woman was so nasty to us that I asked to speak to a manager... Well, it turns out that she IS the manager. I told her that her attitude was unnecessary and that I was willing to pay the difference, but she wouldn't hear it. When we tried to leave, Ryan got really upset. And what three year old wouldn't be disappointed? I tried one more time to talk to the woman. I explained that the Groupon was confusing and that if they weren't going to honor it then someone should take it down. I never raised my voice. Although I was thrown off by her terrible attitude, I was never even rude back to the woman. I picked up the pen on the counter and asked if she could give me the contact information for the owner, or whoever I could speak to to resolve the issue. (And you better believe I was going to tell them about the sorry customer service we experienced!) She started yelling at the top of her voice that I needed to give her the pen back. I handed it back to her and asked why she was yelling. She was extremely flustered, literally screaming about this stupid Groupon, and informed me that if I didn't get out she was going to call security. Even the employees behind her were looking at her like she was crazy! I told her I wasn't moving until she told me how to file a formal complaint, so she called security. Security arrived (three officers!), and when I calmly explained what was going on the head of security raised his hand to stop me. He said this was an "ongoing issue", and that this woman has been terrible to more than one customer! It also turns out that the owner of this location is the woman's son. They called him and he also refused to honor the Groupon that I no longer even cared about, and he didn't even acknowledge the poor behavior of his employee/mother. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.In the end, we took Ryan to lunch and let him play in the PlayPlace. He had already forgotten about the nasty woman with terrible language, but I won't forget her anytime soon. Circus Playhouse won't ever get another dime of my money. Hire employees that are patient, friendly, and smart enough not to curse so much in the presence of young children, and maybe we would consider it. Until then, we will go to Pump it Up, Jumpology, Romp N' Roll- ANYWHERE but Circus Playhouse.
Horrible dirty place, rude incompetent staff. Dont waste your time or money on this place. Dont disappoint your kids by bringing them there.
This place is a nightmare. Employees are high and rude. I had my daughter's birthday party here and it was the worst decision I could have made. The place is dirty and the food was awful. I won't be going back and if you are smart you will not waste your money here either.
Had my son party there on 3/8/15 an I will never have it there again the lasertag was not working they didnt have it charge up we couldn't get our money back at all the manager was real nasty an disrespectful she didn't wanna show us a sign saying it n refund we ask nicely for our money bk she gt mad an call the security on us at my child party all over $12 like all u had to do was give us the money it wasn't n sign or it not in the contract n refund its there problem it wasn't working so then she gt upset n goin tell me I had to end my child party cause she was upset nnnnn I spend $260 we staying n the package he was suppose to get a cake n party flavor she took it bk being nasty but I had my own cake but if it n his package he was suppose to get a cake I was very upset she was rude nasty n very disrespectful I will never come bk here again for no playtime or party I wanted my son to have fun he a autism child n he love to get out n play but they mess it all up for him he didn't wanna stay for the whole party so we left n took him to a park I will never ever come back here again
This place is way overpriced for a 2 year old who is obviously not going to stay the full hours. The lifegaurds are annoying and they blow their whistles at everything. They do need more loungers and their pools are not very big, and it gets really crowded. The sand could be fluffier...less rocky and dirty looking. The only thing I can say is they play decent music.
