The owner of this establishment is unprofessional, he lied and said he gave me something for free when I clearly paid for it. There is an unlicensed piercer who pierced the wrong part of my ear I asked for the DAITH and she pierced the ROOK then lied about it said I changed my mind which isn't true ... and the owner was unapologetic. This place is dirty and disgusting so disgusting!! the only person who was apologetic and sincere was a guy with kinda long black hair and he had lip piercings but EVERYONE ELSE nah ....

As I think he would agee, you go there with a attitude you going to get one back.
If you want something small, a piece of flash, they are fine, but if you want something unique, go else where. I had a bad experience with the shop over the last year. I went in with a friend about a year ago asking about cover ups. I was talking to one guy, Brian, and he told me he wasn't a cover up guy and got BJ. At first, BJ threw out a high price and I almost walked out. He then began to ask me questions, along with Brian, and we got talk. My friend and I were in there for about an hour just talking out with these guys some of the issues we have had with other shops in the area. We worked out a lower price and payment plan. After that I came in once a month putting down anywhere between 50-20 dollars between January and May, We decided on $600 in total for a large cover up piece on my forearm. I more in academics and had the summer off and didn't have extra cash to put down on my tattoo between June and August. In early August BJ text and told me he was no longer at that shop and he was now at Black Heart. I called up to the shop after hours and got a call back the next day from Brain. I went in to ask him about a refund and he was working on a tattoo at the time. There were 4 signs in the lobby saying no refunds on a deposit so I decided not to even ask. I talked to him about another tattoo I wanted instead and said I would just like to start over from scratch on my cover up. He pushed me on to his wife Holly, who I had not scene once all the times I came into the job, but had read about her legal troubles in the local paper. I went in the next day to talk to her about another tattoo, Her attitude was off putting and she didn't listen to me at all and talked me into a re-do on my tattoo instead of a cover up. I agreed and made an appointment for the following week. I called up to the shop during the week and asked for an e-mail to send her some designs because I did not want a straight up re-do, I wanted a redesign or a cover up. I was told to send it via facebook , which I did with a lengthy message attached. When I came in for my appointment she had not scene my message and actually yelled at me about not sending it to the email on their business card. She then yelled at me for the image I did send to the email. She printed off a few images and I have no cool why because she didn't use any of them and gave what I kept telling her I didn't want, a re-do of the original. It does look a lot better, but after sitting with it for almost a week and think about my experience at the shop I will not go back there or recommended them to my friends and family.
I got my septum done about a year ago by John Vaughn. It was my first kind of piercing that did not occur on my ear lobes, so I was petrified. John made me feel so at ease and I am so grateful for that. He joked around, made me laugh a lot. He knew what he was doing, it didn't hurt me at all when he pierced it or when he put in the retainer. He gave me the option of having a 14g or a 16g, which I absolutely loved him for. I plan on going back in March to get a same side double nostril by him and I'm not nervous this time around at all.
I wouldn't go here for ink work anymore. Joe Thomas is a d*ck, he seemed annoyed to do my work ever though I previously set up an appointment. I was quoted one price (by two different people at the shop (including Joe himself)) and then was charged double the quote after my tattoo was finished. The inkwork that I have seen come out of that shop is decent grade (hence why I decided to go there), but their business practices suck! I does seem amusing that, out of the four people that I know who has gotten work done there...if you are a female, chances are you won't get screwed over...if you're a male and you're not friends with them...be prepared to get r*ped on price.
I have been going to Joe Thomas for years. I don't even know how I found him truly by luck. I have a 1/2 sleeve, very colorful, lots of flower and beautifully done. I can not go out in public with short sleeves on without at least one person telling me how beautiful it is. I carry around Joe's business cards because I got tired of telling everyone where to find him etc, etc, etc......Don't get me wrong you have to wait for Joe if you want him (1-2 months wait is nothing) but he is well worth the wait. I have walked in and actually said "Joe do whatever you want" and I have never ever been disappointed. Everyone in the studio is so nice, friendly and make you feel at home. I have nothing but praise and would recommend to anyone (and trust me I have)
