Randy was excellent to work with. He was always in contact if something came up that he knew we'd love and after only 2 weeks; we found the perfect home. He's a great negotiator and very personable. We look forward to referring Randy to our friends and family. Thanks
Our family experienced a surprise with Mr. Gubka. We requested assistance. Randy's lack of communication was unexpected. Not sure why he did this? He's a nice guy, just not very concerned with call backs. We went with another agent who was very professional and provided the services we needed.
Kristi is a saint! I have worked with Kristi twice. Once buying, once selling. Each time she was thorough and attentive to our needs, helping though the sometimes complicated and frightening real estate processes. Most recently, Kristi helped us come up with an alternate plan to ensure the buyers got their loan and kept our house from falling out of escrow. Kristi listens! She cares about the needs of her clients and adjusts her approach accordingly. I highly recommend Kristi as your buying or selling agent in the Phoenix area.
The least professional, most haphazard real estate company I have ever had the displeasure of associating with. I sent a slew of emails to this company after finding out they wanted to show the house I'm renting. I wanted to coordinate with the representative to make sure I made myself scarce and out of the way of the showings, and anything else they needed from me. These emails went unanswered, until the day the showings were supposed to happen, where we finally reached the rep by phone and her excuse for not getting back was basically that she "didn't have time," was "confused," and other assorted ways to lay the blame at other's feet. This was insanely frustrating, consumed my entire weekend, but I was willing to take a step back and let bygones be bygones. That is, until a realtor showed up to my door this morning with 4 scheduled showings, though we had agreed with Desert Wind that the showings were to happen during the week while we were at work. Dealing with this company has been miserable, frustrating, and infuriating. I have done everything I could to be accommodating to the rep from the company, and she has done everything possible to be non-responsive and frustrate the situation. I don't understand why this rep is going out of their way to be difficult, but it doesn't reflect well on this company.
I have really enjoyed being a tenant of theirs for 2+ years. They make it easy to pay rent online and the staff is always super nice. I highly recommend them!
I provided a deposit of $1150 at move in. I received $89 back! I was an exceptional renter, kept the property very clean, had minimal (less than normal) wear and tear. On Q Property Management company completely overcharged for the items on the refund list. They abused their powers and kept the deposit money to complete a major overhaul on the property for damage that was not my responsibility. I am more than happy to accept responsibility for my charges, but this is complete fraud. I will tell everyone I know to never use this company for anything. Dishonest and a horrible business philosophy.
I have used Dave on several occasions and his photos are outstanding. He is professional and delivers what he promises. I highly recommend him.
Steve and Renae Urie are the most rude, unprofessional landlords ever. House not clean, appliances and fixtures broken when we moved in. Received multiple nasty notes and eviction threats over weeds. Never mind that there were only ever 1-2 weeds, max. Whenever appliances broke down or things needed to be fixed, we always waited at least a week to hear back. Renae will only be pleasant and accommodating if you're looking into renting, and then when you're moving out. I can attest to previous comments about not receiving deposits back. I scrubbed every inch of that house, steam cleaned the carpets, moved appliances as to clean behind them, and they tried to keep 100% of my deposit. The house was in better shape when I moved out than when I moved in.Know your rights, take detailed notes and pictures, save every communication and stick to your guns if you rent from Steve Urie, Renae Urie and Mesa Verde Property Management. They're - quite simply - professional con artists.
I too was cheated out of my deposit by Mesa Verde. Last December I moved out if my rented home of six years. Even though I passed previous inspections and thoroughly cleaned my home upon move-out, Mesa Verde only refunded $166 of my $900 refundable deposit, mostly for cleaning and yard work expenses. This is in violation of the Arizona statute on security deposits. I attempted to work this out with Renea Urie, co-owner of Mesa Verde, and she was belligerent and uncooperative, much like the other complaints assert.I decided to file a case in small claims court. This is where the story gets interesting. Upon researching the court in my precinct, I discovered that Steve Urie, husband of Renea and co-owner of Mesa Verde, is a Justice in Gilbert, overseeing among other things evictions and other small claims. Talk about a conflict of interest. How is this even allowed?
PLEASE DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! Renters and homeowners alike, please do not ever use this company. I have had the WORST experience over the last year. I am an excellent tenant. I keep the house in pristine condition, and I expect the same from a rental agency. When I started having issues with sprinkler valves blowing from too high of a pressure and exceedingly ridiculous water bills, I was told to contact the homeowner. What is the point of having a rental agency and paying them fees every month if I need to contact the homeowner anyway?! I had to call a landscape repairman. I had to pay him. Then, when I tried to get reimbursed through the rental agency, they informed me that I had to contact the landlord for a refund. Such a headache! What is the point of using this company? All year long I have dealt with a broken pool light, a busted shed door, a failing back gate, a broken refrigerator handle, many months of busted sprinkler valves with ridiculous water bills, pool issues, etc. Now, the homeowner himself owes me back-payment for water bills. This should not be a situation I am in. This is the point of a rental agency! And to top it all off, I went month to month last month because I needed two more months at this address before moving. They missed my month to month charge and then just tacked it onto the next month's bill with no communication whatsoever. This is poor accounting practice, and when I called to question it, I was treated extremely poorly. I am not opposed to paying the additional amount -- it is part of my agreement -- but the treatment on their part is horrendous!A neighbor and close friend also rents through this company, and they have had similar woes with issues not being repaired, poor communication, upcharges, etc. Carl and James are just poor excuses for managers in my opinion. This company is full of incompetent employees who do not understand that they are in the customer service business.
