Great food best meatballs on the planet bar none.
Best place for home atmosphere and all food is home made. Cinnamon rolls are legendary. Have introduced to many friends. They do catered events such as our daughters wedding. Please try them...
The Henhouse Cafe's lack of customer service makes it one that you should skip at all costs. The manager, Bo, was very defensive and repeatedly interrupted me when I tried to tell him about my experience. Here is a small part of our exchange:Me - "I want to gauge what should I say to get my potatoes crispy, the way I like them, on the first time?" Him - "say you want them so burnt they are inedible."Me - "That is rather rude."Him - "Well, I can't tell you what you like but my kitchen did nothing wrong."Me -"Bo, I am just trying to tell you about my poor experience in your restaurant."Him - "No, you are telling me you had a problem with the food, not the experience."Me - "Well, it was a poor experience, the server set the sausage down while rushing by and I couldn't tell him about the other missing items."Him - "No, he didn't."I hope whoever reads this does NOT patronize The Henhouse Cafe, located at 3244 E Guadalupe Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234.
My favorite place for breakfast or lunch. A little pricey but you definitely get your money's worth. I dream of their coconut cream pies.
NEVER had a bad visit! My husband and I have eaten here for several different meals since they first opened and we have NEVER had a bad experience with staff or the food. Everyone has been friendly and very helpful. The food is great tasting and hot upon arrival at the table and more than enough that I am able to hav some the next day!
This place is so GREAT!!! I felt like I stepped into my grandma's house, sat down at her kitchen table with friends, and had a wonderful breakfast. The owner, Susan, and her staff were so friendly and helpful with the menu and you could tell there were quite a few regulars there who were also really enjoying themselves. We had the French toast (a must!), and the biscuits are INSANE! Also the homemade bread was excellent. I took a slice of carrot cake home with me and that made the best ending to my day. Do yourself a big favor and head over to the Gilbert House for a chill Sunday breakfast or if you have friends in town, take them there for a very impressive and fun time.
Saturday and it was packed. Boys had chocolate chip pancakes, downer they were not in the pancakes. Just put on top. Biscuits and gravy looked good. But upon taste, biscuits were over cooked and the gravy was bland. Will try a traditional breakfast next time. Fresh OJ was awesome.
