The owner, Dave Sharrah, is very honest and incredibly hard-working. He offers superior service to his customers. Dave is also a Vietnam Combat Veteran, and is very active with many veteran groups in the area (VFW, Gettysburg American Legion, Vietnam Veterans Groups, the "40 and 8," etc.). He is the first to volunteer his free time to help run various events that benefit the entire community. A real philanthropist!
Prior to Aug 10th, 2017, I had been monitoring the Renn Kirby website for a new conversion van. On August 10th, we received a price watch update with the original sale price going from $38,008 to $37,008 on a van we had showed interest in.Around August 13th, we decided to purchase this van and sent an inquiry via the website. I received an email from a Mason Garber, sales representative on Monday August 14th for initial conversation.Via a phone conversation, I asked Mason what other charges were there to add to the price of $37,008. He stated the cost for a drive out tag, and registration fees of $139.00. I asked him to send out an itemized cost for out the door.Later Monday August 14th, he sends me a total price of $39,471.89 and asked if we were financing or a check. I replied back and told him check but I needed an itemized cost.To my shock, we are finalizing the deal and I am now informed the van is not $37,008 but $38,883.74. $1,875.74 more than the advertised price on the website. As well, the registration fees have changed from $139 to $545.When a company sends me a "price reduction alert" via email (which I still have) dropping the price from $38,008 to $37,008 , then that is what I expect the price to be. Raising the price to $38,883, without any acknowledgement of an error, is an integrity issue. Sending an email simply stating the "out the door cost is $39,471.89...will that be finance or cash" was trying to hide the error, and slip an increase of the other fee past us. The error in price and increase in the fee was only revealed when we pressed for an itemized break down. They had multiple opportunities to reveal this error instead of just trying to slip it past us. As of October 2nd 2017, not one person from Renn Kirby has called to apologize, or honor their original price. There is nothing they can do at this point to resolve this false advertising.Sad that companies resort to these tactics to sell vehicles.
The only reason I've given them one star is because zero wasn't an option... do not buy a car here... you'd be better off flushing your money down the toilet
As a new rider I really appreciated the input and patience they had with me. Joe went over everything about the bike and even took time to help with technique to make sure I was comfortable before I left the lot. I would highly recommend them when looking for your first or next motorcycle.
Excellent service and courtesy. Will be taking my vehicle back for service. Service Department very knowledgeable
The car I got they said nothing was wrong with it well everything was wrong the engine light came on once I left the lot. And tires were dry rotted and so on.
East side auto sales is a great place to buy cars from. They have a very nice staff and a good selection of cars to select from. I am buying my 5th vehicle from them today. Good staff and great vehicles. They help you get what you want and works with you every way they can.
I was searching for a vehicle for 6 months, and finally decided on a beauty 4x4 nissan at Eastside. After I bought it, some tire and other minor issues arose soon after purchase. Now, usually I am hesitant and apprehensive and defensive thinking I have to "fight" for repair, or have to explain myself, but, I was taken back by the way they handled it. They sent out a tow truck, and fixed every issue I found. The best part was I wasn't charged a single dime for the repairs, which easily came to close to a few hundred dollars. My vehicle was decently priced and NOT three times over blue book. For my situation, I made Derik work for his commission! Look, folks, everytime you buy a used vehicle, you take a gamble, you can get a good one, or you can get one that needs help. There is no way of anyone knowing what issues a car might have, and if you have the scenario like I did, JUST CALL AND TELL THEM! It really was THAT EASY!!!
Manny, wife, and there staff are great, before I went there I had already picked 5 vehicles I wanted to look at, got there looked around no one came and hassled you, no one tried to get you in something you didn't want, it was the best car shopping experience, I got my 2nd choice on my list, picked it up, it was low in gas and Manny even gave me money to get gas again get people and great shopping experence. I will be buying my next vehicle here.
I went to look at some vehicles yesterday. And it seemed like every vehicle I wanted to inspect required a jump start. Don't be fooled by shiny exteriors or clean interiors, the engines in their vehicles are not well maintained or repaired properly. Beware of buying as is.
