I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life! Marty Cook was the most pressuring and unhelpful salesman I have ever dealt with. My wife and I were looking to purchase a new vehicle after hers was totaled. We found a used vehicle here at Don Hewlett so we went to check it out. It was, and still is a beautiful car and we are so happy, but that's not the reason for the post. Once we finished our test drive, we met back with Marty. My wife and I explained to him that we were going to look at a couple other options and we may come back. In typical salesman talk he wanted to make sure we knew that in his experience, if we did not buy the car today, it will be gone tomorrow...Whatever...the car was there for another 3 days. After we finished looking at other cars, we decided that the vehicle at Don Hewlett was the one. We emailed Marty to set-up an appointment so we may come in and finalize the deal. He never emailed or called to confirm the appointment, so we were left wondering whether the vehicle was still available. We decided we were going to show up anyway.We arrived 15 minutes early to our supposed appointment, and Marty was already assisting another person, so no big deal. At around 2:45 Marty decided it was a good idea to negotiate the final pricing, that had not been settled upon, in the lobby. Mind you, I am discussing the purchase of a $25,000 deal, in the lobby of a car dealership, with numerous people around. Marty stood above us in an intimidating fashion, and in an uncomfortable setting. He was unwilling to show us any appreciation for buying this car from him. My wife and I decided that we loved the car too much to let one person ruin it for us, so we went ahead and purchased the vehicle.We were finally allowed to sit in Marty's office after we agreed to purchase the vehicle. After about 5 minutes of printing the paperwork (The only work he did for this sale) we signed the agreement, and we were quickly ushered out of the office so he could meet with his next potential sale. While my wife and I sat in the lobby for an hour waiting to finalize the financing, Marty had one more request from us. Since he was so busy helping other people, he had no time to get the cars odometer reading on a sale he was getting commission for. So rather than walk outside, in hurricane weather, he decided he would ask his customer to do it...At this point I was ready to walk out, or start the whole process over with a new salesman. Not sure if this is how Don Hewlett wants their customers to be treated, but to be honest, this left a terrible taste in my mouth, and I will never be back to place ever again!

I bought two 2016 CX5 GT within 2 weeks from this dealer. The first one went fine, But, on the second deal, they cheated me over $300. I am talking about $300 dollars over a $32,000 dollar car! I called and gave them another chance to correct their mistake, but the sales manager, Mr. Brian G., didn't seem to care. He blamed that I should read all the papers before I signed. I know it was my mistake that I didn't read in details down to dollars and cents on the number because I trusted them from the first experience with them. I don't know how they can do business this way. Already be happy after making one or two sales? Every business needs repeated customers and business from their friends and family. This will be the last Mazda they sell to me, my family, and my friends.I highly NOT recommend doing business with this dealer.
The sales guy was somewhat clueless, he told me options about the jeep that were not true, also he did not seem to remember what I had negotiated when I asked him he seemed puzzled and tried to charge me for them when they were already negotiated into the deal. Also, when I got home I was looking at their website and the same jeep that I bought was listed $200 less... Really! They indicated that the price I got was the best they could do... In the end I guess I should not have expected more as this was after all a car dealership.

I have to say Chris Hernandez was my sales person in the used car part and i could not have been more pleased. He communicated with me thru email due to my work schedule and did not disappoint me at all in the complication of the vehicle knowing i was in a rush and was buying it blindly. He was honest about the condition, which was nothing really wrong with the car. When i meet him the next day i was amazed with him and the staff, they did not seem like they typical car dealership staffing at all. The experience was the most pleasant experience i have had with a dealership. I since have learn there is a Mac Haik here in Temple, lol. Due to the experience and kindness and professionalism from the Georgetown location i will travel from Temple to Georgetown for all my maintenance and when im ready to trade in i will be going back!! I mention Chris in sales but lets not forget the finance dept., so amazingly sweet and made the process pain free as possible! Kudos to Mac Haik, you have won me over as a satisfied and a repeat customer for life, keep up the hard work you do everyday to make car buying a wonderful experience. You have raised the bar for the competition to strive for.
I read most of the reviews on here that were negative and have to disagree. When I went to CCC they were to the point. They laid everything out right in front of me. Daryl who is my salesman is AWESOME. He was not one who pressures someone. He is honest and shows integrity. I have went to several dealerships only to find they lie and cheat. If you want a GREAT car and you have credit issues then you will expect that your interest is going to be a little more. Its a HIGHER risk. Daryl is AWESOME I recommend everyone to CCC
