Business Description
Homemade. Hand dipped. That was the goal of Robert Untiedt when he first opened Graham's Chocolates in December of 1987. Since then he has expanded Graham's into two retail shops and one coffee shop, and with his two daughters on the rise, it has truly become a family-run business. Robert fell in love with candy during his years teaching music to high schoolers, as this became a second job for him on the weekends. After the chocolate bug bit him, he began working full-time under some of the best chocolatiers in the midwest before deciding to open his own store. But where? Location, location, location. After searching for the right place for his store, he settled on beautiful downtown Geneva. A place rich in history, small shops and devoted sidewalk traffic. Robert & his wife Beckie live just a short 5 minutes from the store. Robert still runs the stores, and you can find him in the kitchen with a white chef coat on and his wife Beckie is really the heart and soul of the beautifying aspect of the stores. Their daughters Jayni & Maddi are both recently married. Daughter Jayni graduated from Columbia and works as Graham's premier graphic designer and pastry chef for their coffeeshop fulltime and Maddi is a graduate of Valparaiso University and now works full-time as the morning Barista at our coffeehouse. As a family, the Untiedt's have so much to be thankful for, and without wonderful customers who really believe in this business, they would not be where they are today. So thank you!!

The Best!

Greatest Chocolates ever. I think everythings good. I love their chocolate covered smores, pretzels, toffee. All their dark chocolate is great. They have a nice selection of sugar free, that satisfies nicely. Even before Fannie May went way down hill, when I found Grahams I never went anywhere else.

Overrated

Fannie May makes better chocolate and their prices could not be any higher than Graham's. We found that, like most of downtown Geneva businesses, this one is more hype than delivery. Chocolate was gritty and bitter, and about $1 for each small piece. Also had to wait in line even though it was not a high-traffic time of day. Add the awkward parking and obstacle-course driving, and this is definitely not worth the trip. Note: there was no obvious handicapped entrance.

The BEST chocolate!

My husband received a box of Graham's Chocolates for his birthday, and they are, without a doubt, the BEST chocolates that we have ever tasted! The chocolate, whether it be milk or dark, is smooth, creamy, and rich; they just truly melt in your mouth! The fillings are also superb! We both share the opinion that Graham's Chocolates are FAR superior to the likes of Fannie May, Frango, or any other of Chicagoland's ""famous"" chocolates! A MUST HAVE for anyone shopping in the Geneva, IL area!

The Best Homemade Ice Cream

Can't imagine a better way to enjoy the best Ice Cream in the Chicago-land area... but to stroll down historic 3rd Street. Lots of lil shops and restaurants too!
