Bought reconditioned washer and dryer. Great service and delivery with install. Had available selection of nice new furniture as well!

My husband and I returned to NWI in 2009. We bought a foreclosed home and needed appliances and some furniture. My husband stayed behind in our old home and so I had to take care of business by myself. With a new job, a new house that needed work and a sick mom, there was very little time for shopping. I went to Thrifty Mac and was able to buy everything I needed from washer to mattresses. I had been gifted a washer/dryer, but when they were installed, the washer didn't work. I called Thrifty Mac, told them the size of washer I needed, paid over the phone and within 2 hours my washer was delivered and installed. Although, I didn't need the mattresses sets right away because the house was still being worked on, I paid for them and Thrifty Mac held on to them until we were ready. I called two weeks later requesting delivery and they were delivered the very next day. The reason I am writing this three years later is because I just pulled out their business card because we are getting new appliances, and my husband and I are going to Thrifty Mac this week. We very much appreciated the way our needs were accommodated when we needed help and this is the only place we want to shop for our appliances again.

This the worst experience I have ever had. I got told a price and said I would be back. I came back and the price was higher. He said he couldn't do the same price because I left and came back. I paid him and waited almost a month for the furniture that was supposed to be delivered the next day. Don't go there, they are rude and tell lies.

I have gone to this business twice now and have always been satisfied with the price, the service, and the product. My fiance and I are a young couple starting out and didn't have a whole lot to spend on appliances, especially renting our home. We just wanted something that worked, but not something so cheap that we would be right back where we started a few months later when the thing konked out. I looked all over the area for used appliances, and found Thrifty Mac, who was not only the best value, but had the biggest selection. The store is clean, the assocciates are professional and friendly without any of that high-pressure sales pitch that you might see in a bigger chain store, the delivery is fast, friendly, and super reasonable, especially considering how far we asked them to deliver - all the way into the Harbor area of East Chicago. I could go on and on, but I won't. All I'll say is I was very satisfied with my experience and am still satisfied with my appliances.
