AMC Of Garner Veterinary Hospital

We had an emergency, and even though we didn't have an appointment and were new patients, they were able to work us in. Front desk people, the vet tech, and the doctor were all very friendly and professional, which helped us, the parents, stay calm(er) in this incredibly stressful and scary time. The only downside to our experience was the clinic is not set up for billing, so you have to pay at the time of services. While that ordinarily would not be a problem, this was an emergency visit, so it was an unexpected expense. However, this is a fairly minor complaint, as they were able to get our cat feeling back to her normal self.

I called and asked if they could see my very sick dog because my dog has the same thing my other dog did and my other dog died on thanksgiving. I was trying to get her seen today to make sure she isnt going to die too. I talked to the lady (I wont mention her name) who answered the phone and she said she will go back and ask the doctor if they could see my dog today and that she will call me back. TWO hours later I, ME called THEM back to see if they would see my dog. The same lady answered the phone and said the Dr. has been in surgury all morning but she would run back and ask him and call me back. She said this the first time I called that she would run back and ask him and call me back. This time she actually called me back at 11:15am and asked if I could be there at 11:30am. Told her that would not work because I live in Smithfield. I then asked if she had anything later, she said no. I asked if they would try to work her in. She told me no that they were booked today. LOOK, i dont care how booked you are if there is a sick dog that needs to be seen especially when my other dog just died of the same sickness.....i looked up different vets and this one had 5 stars so i thought hey cant beat that!! BUT, apparently a crappy place like Banfield is willing to work her in no problem. Not impressed with this place. Apparently they dont give a damn if my dog is really sick and might die.
