Let me start out by say I adore good Chinese food and I am always on the look out for good service. That being said I can not say enough great things about Yen China Cafe located in Garland, Texas. My grandmother always told me "never judge a book by its cover" and nothing could be more true about this little gem hidden in a practically empty shopping center in North Garland. There are too few small family restaurants these days who can afford to offer amazing food, generous portions, at family friendly prices. My family of 4 can eat dinner and have leftovers to enjoy the next day for around $20 delivered to own home. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating taking special requests and making substitutions with no argument. My family doesn't care for onions but loves peas and carrots in their fried rice and in all the time we have ordered from Yen China Cafe we have never discovered a single onion. You get exactly what you want without any extra fuss. They make each and every dish fresh when you place your order with fresh quality ingredients and yet your order arrives at your door usually under 30 minutes. My favorite "go to" dish is the Chicken Teriyaki with fried rice. The chicken is tender and the vegetables are not over cooked. It reheats very well, which is great because the portions are so large I always enjoy it the next day for lunch. My husband loves the General Tao's Chicken and the kids love the Sweet and Sour chicken. The truth is you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Orders can even be placed online and they don't charge a delivery fee for diners within 3 miles of the restaurant. I would visit this wonderful little secret the next time you have a craving for amazing Chinese food or stay in and let them deliver something delicious to you at home. That's my buzz. Enjoy! queenbeezbuzz.blogspot.com
1. China Star
I was iffy getting sushi delivered, but this was great. Also ordered from a different sushi delivery that was cheaper.... I won't make that mistake again. Little bit more expensive but definitely worth it!
The best Chinese food I have had since moving here 6 years ago and have tried many. Nice clean restaurant. Picked up food to go. All dishes was very excellent except the pork Lo Mein it needed more vegetables maybe cabbage and more onion it was kinda of tasteless. That being said we have made…
18. Egg Roll City
The first thing I noticed when I went in this place was the very reasonable prices. I got the beef with broccoli, which came with an eggroll, along with a cup of hot and sour soup and an ice tea for about 11 dollars (plus tip). The hot and sour soup was lukewarm and just not that good. At first …
20. Egg Roll Cafe
I haven't been going to this place for long. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is to die for! My favorite is the Deluxe Combination Fried Rice and their egg rolls. MMMMM!!!
I have eaten in Chinese Restaurants all the way from San Francisco to Brookline, MA and this is up there with one of the best of them. The combination Lo Mein was incredible, as were the other items my group ordered. The Sweet and Sour Soup was the best that I have had in 40 years of eating Chin…
27. May China Cafe
A great find for takeout Chinese in Garland. Good value, friendly service, big portions, fresh ingredients. However, I suspect they use plenty of MSG in their food as I was really thirsty for the rest of the night (which is my typical reaction to MSG). Even though the entrees and fried rice w…

Salmon was chewy, lo-mein noodles bland, sushi tasted bad(I had to spit it out), baked fish was bland, bad stuffed crab. The bacon wrapped shrimp was just ok. I tried different things just to make sure, but overall the food was just horrible. The server was not friendly. When she came to collect our empty plates, she just stood there for a few seconds. I removed my spoon, then handed her the plate and she took off. We had to ask for our drinks to be re-filled. There was only two good things about this place; 1. It was not packed (now I know why). 2. Dining & Buffet areas we're clean. This is my first time to go to Chinese Buffet with bad food.
Golden Wok is a little hidden, behind what used to be Mervyn's? on Marketplace street. This used to be the infamous General Pao, who went out of business a while back. Food is definitely the best I've ever had and it is reasonably priced. service is definitely a plus to this experience. They have seafood, meat, vegetarian dishes, sushi, mongolian grill, and some american food, like pizza or nuggets for those in your posse who might not like chinese food. I know I will definitely be coming back here. I love their crab rangoon and some of the other dishes, whose name escape me at the moment. I think its definitely worth checking out.
I have eaten in Chinese Restaurants all the way from San Francisco to Brookline, MA and this is up there with one of the best of them. The combination Lo Mein was incredible, as were the other items my group ordered. The Sweet and Sour Soup was the best that I have had in 40 years of eating Chinese fare. The authenticity of the fare was evidenced by the number of Chinese patrons. If Chinese patrons are eating there then you know it has to be good and it is authentic. I do not think you would see these patrons eating at Panda Express. The staff and service impeccable.
I have eaten at highly rated pricey Chinese redtaurants, and they have nothing on China Cafe. FRESH. They have a drive-thru, but be prepared to wait for your food to be prepared. I have friends and family that drive 60 miles to eat at this unassuming gastronomical treasure. Road construction at Zion & I30 has presented challenges. They are good enough to PLAN giving them business to ensure road construction doesn't spell their demise, I do!
I LOVE CHINA STAR, I TRY TO EAT THERE EVERY TIME I GET... ITS THE CHEAPEST IN TOWN AND THEY GIVE YOU BIG PORTIONS AND HAVE GREAT SPECIALS I USE UP ALL THE TIME. I ESPEACIALLY LOVE TH ELO-MIEN NOODLES... WOW THEY ARE SO GOOD I ORDER THE LARGE ORDER AND GET THE COMBONATION WHICH IS A WHOLE LOT OF NOODLES WITH BIG CHUNKS OF CHICKIN AND BEEF AND SHRIMP NOT TO MENTION THE BIG CUTS OF DELICIOUS VEGGIES...MAN I JUST LOVE THAT PLACE....

The restaurant is family-owned. When our family is in the mood for Chinese, we think of Eggroll Cafe. Their prices can't be beat and the food is just as good , if not better than other restaurants. They have other offerings as well. Thai and Vietnamese. Oh-we're Asians so we have eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants.
IF YOU WANT TO EAT CHINESE FOOD I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THEY HAVE THE GREASTEST PRICE FOR THE GOODEST FOOD MOST RESTAURANTS OR VERY HIGH WHEN IT COMES TO CHINESE FOOD BUT THIS ONE ITSN'T EVERY FRIDAY I GO THERE TO GET SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN YOU IT MORE FOR THE PRICE
