Founded in 1906, the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association is a nonprofit, multicorporate service organization that offers health and home care services in the North Central and North Quabbin areas of Massachusetts. It is certified by the Community Health Accreditation Program and offers various services, such as adult day health, community education, corporate wellness programs, home assisted living and rehabilitation therapists. It also offers other services, including hospice, maternal and child health nursing, wound, and continence specialists and support groups. Additionally, it operates programs, including Healthy Families. This program is a Children's Trust Fund initiative and is administered by local area program staff. It prevents child abuse and teen pregnancies and promotes parental education. Located in Gardener, Mass., the organization receives funding from grants, the United Way, the Knowlton Foundation and through private donations.
