10/8/2017 - UPDATE FOR PREVIOUS REVIEW:After a very stressful and drawn out job, we have received the final chair to complete our order. Since the last review we have gone through the blender with Reyes. From emails, to texts, to phone calls, multiple missed deadlines and finally a certified mail letter being sent. This is obviously not a way to treat a client, and Reyes has a ways to go as far as customer service goes. I say this first because at it's core, it is a huge reason that I would even consider a business. So please keep this in mind after you hear what I have to say next.After we got two of the three pieces last Wednesday 10/4, we got to speak to Reyes for the first time in person since he took the couches back in May. He was extremely embarrassed and ashamed of his performance. We told him that if he would have at least kept us in the loop of what was happening, that the original review may not have even surfaced. Reyes seems to be a very nice person. On top of his apology, he showed up with two fantastic looking couches, and tonight, he brought us our final chair. All of the pieces look great and feel even better. We are quite happy with the overall quality of the product.To summarize, Reyes does do great work. I think his years of experience show through his craftsmanship; conversely, I feel he lacks over all business management skills and good communication practices. Over time, he can only get better in that department, as I don't know how it could be worse.I'm very happy with my couches and chair, and it really is a shame that all this happened . I am updating my score with 3 stars. Two for quality and one for competitive pricing. Unfortunately, due to the very poor communication and the fact that it is over 4 months past the original promise date, I cannot recommend to anyone else. Would I use him again? Possibly, but I would ensure certain factors are in place, such as, use of a simple contract or ensuring that all materials are in place and in stock.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------7/18/2017 - DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY". If I could give negative stars I would. It's not an actual business. The guy works out of his house. He is horrible at calling back. He picked up my couches over 2 months ago. When I would call to find out the status he would tell me I'll call you back. He does not call back. I've been trying to get a hold of him and he will no longer answer my calls. I found this place through yelp and Google. The company seemed at the time to have good reviews. I sent them an email through their website. Everything seemed legit. A man called me back and we setup a meeting to show him the couches that I needed re-upholstered. He gave me a quote, I gave him a check made out to his company for half of what he quoted me. He cashed the check and a week later he picked up my couches. Since then he has been giving me excuse after excuse as to why he can't get my couches completed. He first told me that there was a chair that took longer than expected, then he told me that there was a family emergency, then he told me that the fabric hadn't come yet which means he lied when he picked up the couches and told me that they would be ready in 1 week. I told him that I wanted my couches back and my deposit back and he said I can't give them to you, i used the money for the fabric and the couches are in pieces! he promised that in one more week the fabric would arrive and still nothing! no calls no messages. Note: This whole ordeal started at the end of April. Reyes picked up the couches on May 10.
