5 years ago I had them install a paver patio and a retaining wall. The patio is great but our wall not so much. We were notified that our retaining wall is wrong by a building inspector. Chesapeake built it wrong. After contacting them recently to notify them of error, Jon said that I had to pay for them to fix it since I approved the wall. The wall was built the same height all away across from our front door to the edge of our garage. However our garage's foundation sits lower than the house's foundation, so a small section of the wall is too high. It is to high since the dirt behind the wall is covering my siding on the garage. The wall does not sit below the foundation line on my garage. I only wish I knew then it was not correct. I paid them to build it to code and they did not and now they want me to pay them more to fix their mistake. STAY AWAY! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REFUSES TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES!

Two years ago I had my property landscape designed and the installation of walkway and beds done by CL&D. While I LOVE the final product, I was disappointed by the poor customer service and lack of attention to detail.
The beds were made smaller than listed in the design, the design had the beds overcrowded, a rock bed was overlooked, a lamp post was moved without prior consent, an irrigation problem was created by the design plus other problems. Since the landscape designer continued to be rude to me in regards to fixing these problems, I contacted the owner via a certified letter. Days after receipt of the letter I had received NO phone call, so I contacted the owner myself by phone. He acknowledged receipt of the letter, made a rude comment about me being demanding and stated he wanted to get out of my project as fast as possible! When the project manager walked through my property he found all the mistakes I listed plus more without me pointing anything out! Everything was fixed and I now have a stunning garden. I expected more from a company that states ""Our goal is to deliver quality, value and outstanding customer service!""
