Great place. Food was too $ for the quality. Fried shrimp was good, But bland. Chips and salsa were mediocre.

Blue-collar seafood at it’s finest. The fried seafood combo platter was out of this world. Four shrimp, four oysters, two crab balls, and a honking filet of fish all faultlessly breaded and fried. Served up with lemons, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, malt vinegar, ketchup, and/or hot sauce, a …

I use to love going here the new staff have completely changed it's character... For here and the bait shop. They changed the menu but brought some stuff back. Staff is just really unhappy. Not friendly at all. I've come across some good fellas but everyone seems rude and miserable. Its just not…
I visited this restaurant as a child and now after 20 years going to go back for mother's day. They had the freshest fish and seafood but above all else was the shrimp cole slaw. I will let you know if it is still as good as it was 20 years ago. \r \r Margi
Been trading with John for many years, always freshest seafood, great variety and always a smile to take with you when you leave ♡
I started off with raw oysters on the half shell and they were awesome. So fresh and just what I wanted. For my main course I ordered the Shrimp Diablo and it was so amazing. The bartenders and wait staff were super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting great food with a great atmosphere.
Sadly, our reservation for a party of 13 was not honored, when we arrived on time to celebrate my grandson's graduation weekend, on mother's day... This was important and a very special time for us as we rarely have that opportunity to be together, all living so far apart... nor, will we ever be able to ever get that time back, again. We had carefully planned for the event, and made our reservation 8 days in advance... and, actually arriving earlier than our 1 p.m., only to be told we "did not have a reservation." when arriving. I told them I had made the reservation, and could confirm with my phone records, they then asked us to wait, while they prepared and were sorry... after 10- min or more, they called us inside to continues pulling together (two-tops) along a bench in a dark corner on the back wall... we were all tightly pushed together unable to move, where no one could even get out if needed. At one point my 11 year old granddaughter had to climb out 'under the table' to go use the restroom - no adult could have managed that. After being seated, I noticed behind us, a nicely 'set table for 13' , thinking maybe there was a mistake and perhaps it possibly could be our table. I went over and asked if we could move to the empty table to be comfortable, but was told it was reserved, and they would ask management... she came to tell me it was reserved for a lady who had "walked in before me." I told her, I had not just walked in, and made a reservation more than a week ago. She said, "really, this is reserved and her name is Pearl." I told her, "I really didn't care what her name was, and our reservation was made 8 days before. Without further comment, I then sat down - but would liked to have left with my family, at that point... all agreed, since they already ordered drinks we should stay. Service was very slow that day, and after another long wait, our order was finally taken. During our 1 1/2 - 2 hour stay, it was interesting that "Pearl" never showed up for the empty table which happened to be set up for 13 behind us, and to add insult to injury, just before we were leaving the wait-staff pulled one of the (four- tops) from the end to give to a young family of four who just walked-in . If you make a reservation, don't expect your reservation to be honored or respected. They were given a second chance to make it right, but chose not to extend the courtesy. Needless to say, I am sadly heartbroken.
Unbelievable fried shrimp unexplainable the flavor all the shrimper card directly off the Gulf of Mexico they are not provided they are made to order all the sauces are handmade the spices are Blended it's amazing the freshness is amazing the best shrimp I've ever had in this country
The waitress absolutely insisted that I order my red snapper cooked with their "Michael" topping which is supposedly sautéed. When she brought it, it was literally dripping with grease. The top of it was covered with black residue from a deep fryer. I tried one bite of it and sent it back. They then brought me a piece of grilled "snapper". I don't know what the fish was but it damn sure wasn't snapper. My wife ordered crab cakes, they were dry and tasteless. The only good thing was the grilled veggies. I couldn't understand how we could get a table with no wait at 8:35 on a Friday night, now I get it. Don't waste your time or money.
Food was great, server was great .But how ever the initial phone call was very very misleading by far!!!!!!Asked was all you can eat crab , was told yes 2 different times. The worst ,,,call a week before set reservations for daughters 16th birthday.Well "NO" billboard with her name which they said would do (we didn't ask for) but had /she had hopes up for !!:(:(And to top off after spending $380 for dinner and her cake was a miniature size cupcake. Smallest I have ever seen Will NEVER OR REFER THEM TO ANYONE!!!
AMAZING food. Poor service and lolligaging staff... had to remind them of our order after 30 mins... and then had to remind them of the side items they forgot... again great 12 Cajun shrimp and potatoes. Good Crawfish and corn and really good gumbo! Awesome french fries too. Good thing the food was awesome, or it would have been a flop
Awesome! Only 14 demerits from the Dec. Health Inspection.
The drinks were refreshing and the food was delish!
