Current male dealer there (May 2018) is great, the MANAGER IS HORRIBLE. I walked in as a 5’3 25 year old female, no one with me to look at a used High Country Silverado the owner had been driving around. Drove 1.5 hours to get there, I had a down payment and check ready along with a pre-approved loan. Dressed in blazer and jeans. Dealer did an A+ great job working with me. When we came in to sit down and talk money that’s when it went South FAST. Manager comes over, does not introduce himself and stood against window with hands behind his back (Pink horizontal stripe polo, was not good for his large tall figure nor dressing to your role). Dealer and I are both SITTING. Dealer and I started, and anything Dealer said the Manager repeated or backed up EVERYTIME. As well as, walking forward toward the desk multiple times, having a louder tone than anyone else, repeating phrases in forth not allowing one to think or talk, using illogical statements, and speaking over others. Another commenter mentioned “unprofessional in negotiations when they showed us their financial reports, trying to tell us how much they were losing on the sale of the car” They did that to me as well saying they were already losing six grand…(welcome to depreciation after driving a car around and having it for sale over 200+ days…). Manager said he couldn’t lower anything more than a couple hundred while showing signs of lying. Overall, being tag teamed and overly dominating behavior from manager I got up and left.FYI, tag teaming and displaying dominating behaviors while someone is sitting does not make friends.A week later they raised the price 3 grand, and added on over 3K miles to Truck. Never got a follow-up message or call.
Would recommend Craig Smith service and sales department to everyone. If you have ever been treated poorly somewhere else you know how hard it is to find people you truly trust. That is Craig Smith Auto is the best.
My opinion is that Craig Smith Auto Group is more concerned with making a buck rather than taking care of their customers. Our experience:-They were reluctant to pull the Carfax, hiding a previous accident-They were very unprofessional in negotiations when they showed us their financial reports, trying to tell us how much they were losing on the sale of the car-We asked them to clean out the vehicle after we bought it, and they did a half job. We had to clean it out after and found someone's cell phone in it. - They had to have painted over rust underneath the car because not two months after the purchase, the fuel lines rusted through and it was leaking gas everywhere. The mechanics (not with Craig Smith Auto) who fixed the car said the car had heavy rust all over underneath, as if it had sat in a closed garage for a long time and sweat. We had to have both fuel lines completely replaced/rebuilt
I am very picky with my car I have a E-420 V8 Benz and it is never a fun task when I have to have work done. This may be a Chevy dealership but I have had them do front torsion bar replacement rear bushing replacement and some electrical work. Not to mention oil changes and switching winter rims and tires. Their is a Mercedes dealer in Mansfield but I do not feel like getting taken for over $500 every time I go somewhere. I take all my vehicles here and will be buying my next vehicle here also.
