The Fortune Plumbing technicians that did my water heater rebuild were prompt, and professional in every sense of the of the word. On top of that, they were the kind of people that I would love to have as neighbors. Scott, and Justin Purchase have restored my faith in honesty, integrity, and fairness in the business community. I will be needing more plumbing service in the near future, and you had better believe, I will be calling Fortune Plumbing. I have joined the ranks of so many others who proudly proclaim: “They are MY plumbing company in Gainesville, Ga.” It was a Blessing to find them!

I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Fortune Plumbing. I had spent three days trying to get a plumber to my house, but they either did not return my call or they promised to come out and never showed up. This morning I looked in yellow pages and found the ad for Fortune. What sold me were the great reviews they had, so I gave them a call. The technician, David Herrin came out that very day and had my problem fixed in no time. Then he took the time to explain different options I could utilize if I had any additional problems. I was very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy I received. I have already recommended Fortune Plumbing to my parents and would recommend them to anyone else I knew looking for a plumber.

We are very pleased with the renovation or our water and septic systems. The work was well planned, went smoothly, and with a minimum of disturbance. We are thrilled with the outcome. Very nice job.



Also, the technician who performed the work conducted himself in a gentlemanly manner and with great respect to both me and my wife. He is a hardworking, customer conscious young man.

I am an investor and have been using Fortune Plumbing for 5 years. They are the only plumbers I call when problems arise. They have repaired septic systems, installed water heaters, replaced toilets, re-routed water lines, repaired frozen water lines, installed gas wall heaters. The list goes on and on. They have always been prompt, professional, clean, honest and fair on price. I trust them so much I leave a key at the house needing repairs.

I have used this company three times in the past 2 or 3 years. Once to replace my hot water heater, another to install a kitchen faucet, and the last time to snake out a clogged drain. They were always clean, professional, on time, and their rates were very competitive or even a little lower than the larger companies I called first.



I was surprised to find that the other review is a negative one. All the other sites I found mentioning Fortune Plumbing were very positive, and I've grown to trust them so much that I left a key for them this last time, and they did the job while I was at work. They came and went, and you couldn't even tell they had been there. I referred my neighbor to them recently, and she was very happy with them.



Each time I have called, either the owner Gary Fortune or his wife have patiently answered all my questions, and were up front about the costs. There were no hidden fees or add-ons when they started the work.



I would recommend them.

About a year ago, Fortune put a water heater in my mother-in-law's house and she has had periodic problems with it ever since. The pilot light goes out and she gets charged $100 for them to come out and relight it and when she called them to come back out and look into it they basically told her they were "tired of messing with it".

I went over to see about it and discovered that they had not even hauled the old heater away!

We had City Plumbing pull records for when Fortune bought it and they paid $296 and they charged her $650, plus $135 to install it, and another $50 for supplies, talk about your markups! They should be ashamed for overcharging a 78 year old widow for work and then not even completing the job and doing shoddy work in the process. This company should not be allowed to continue doing business anywhere, we'll surely never do business with them again and will tell everyone we know to steer clear of these crooks!

There is a bright spot to this story, City Plumbing is going to trade in the defective unit for a new one but we'll be going elsewhere to have it installed.
