Overall

I was very happy with the front desk person who was very pleasant and professional. Everyone I was in contact with was professional. The time it took for repairs was great. My car looks new! I will recommend this business to other people for their collision repairs.

My husband and I had our car towed to University Collision Center after a large wood log flew into our windshield when driving on the interstate. The original estimate for repairs was $1195.09 for parts and $210.00 for labor. This included fixing the windshield and the dashboard. We decided to go with an outside dealer for the windshield as they were significantly cheaper. The total cost for the windshield parts was $825.72. Since this was done through an outside company the bill should have been significantly cheaper. I have the original itemized estimate as well as the itemized final bill. The final bill without the windshield being fixed was $1,254.01 and this was only after my husband had to talk them down from an almost $1600.00 bill. When we went to pick up the car the dashboard was still scratched and we were told this was because of the decrease in price. In other words had we paid the $1600.00 then that would have been fixed as well. We also found out when we got home that they never fixed the mileage on the car and we were told specifically that it was taken to the Mazda dealership for this. We have attempted to contact them about this issue and still have not heard back from them. They tried to 'smooth' things over by saying they cleaned the car and made a spare key, two things we never asked them to do. I have pictures of before and after of both the windshield and dashboard if needed. We had been in contact with them several times from when the car was dropped off to point when we picked it up and there was no mention of the significant price increase. I feel that we were taken advantage of in a time when we were already knocked down.

I would like to comment on M.M.'s review below. Apparently this is a person I know whom I was relating an experience to with this business. However, this person has falsified some information and exaggerated the rest, impersonating me in an attempt to either damage this business or perhaps they think this vigilante type of action is justified. In reality, the repairs were made in a timely fashion. My Volvo was there a long time because a part was on back-order by Volvo and had to come from Sweden. Not UCC's fault. In fact, Patrick kept me updated on the status of part very diligently. There were a few smudges in the interior and a scratch upon return. These were removed and the car returned to me within 24 hours. The scratch may have occurred in transport to, or at, my Volvo dealer where it was taken for additional quality review since it was virtually new and UCC desired to give me extra peace of mind. UCC paid for a rental car for me during this time. Finally, Volvo did not refer me there, my insurance company did after my accident, as they told me that UCC was the only garage in town certified to do the work since the car was a Volvo and so new (2014). The repair work they did was flawless, and they went above and beyond to correct the issue I did have. Because of this I would definitely use them again.

I wish I could agree with the reviews that I've seen on various sites but I can't sit idly by. If they would have taken the time to get it right even the second time I would have not produced this review. I purchased a new Volvo and was hit in the side rather hard by another vehicle. The repairs were extensive I will admit, but the the time they took on the job was uncalled for. I was at first happy with the job they did until i started seeing scratches on my trunk. Then I saw the grease spots and almost fainted. All in all I wouldn't recommend them and I would ask that Volvo not refer me there anymore as well.

I cannot say enough about the ...

I cannot say enough about the great service and attention to detail to you get from University Collision Center. Frank and his staff are the absolute best to work with and they go that extra distance to ensure you are satisfied with the work done. They back up the work they do. Frank was great to give me a rough time frame on the work that needed to be done, with him qualifying that it might take longer depending on what is found underneath the exterior of my car. Frank and his crew can count on my continue patronage. It's also great that my insurance company has total confidence in their ability to do effective and quality work.

The guys at University Collisi...

The guys at University Collision did a great job. I'm an avid car enthusiast and a detailer, so I have a sharp eye for paint. I went to them demanding perfection and they took the extra care needed to get the job done. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they took twice as long as quoted to do the job, but they knew I was patient since I wanted them to take good care of it.

They really stand behind their work. There was a time I went to check up on how things were going and I spotted a few small imperfections in the work (that most people would probably never see) and they redid it without hassle.

They have definitely earned my future business as well as my friends business. I would drive across state to have them do work again.

I took my car to a mechanic be...

I took my car to a mechanic because I had water leaking into my car and oil leaking out. The chain mechanic told me I had to take my car to a body shop because the water leak was structural (not the AC) and they gave me an outrageous estimate to fix my oil leak. Because I was a previous customer at UCC and had great service during my first visit after a car accident a year ago, I decided to take my car back to fix the water leak. It turns out the leak was from my AC and the mechanic just did a poor job of investigating. They fixed by water leak free of charge and gave me tips to prevent any mold growth. Additionally, they went above and beyond and had a mechanic take the time to more accurately diagnose my oil leak. I would highly recommend these guys to everyone. They offer friendly, helpful and honest service.

Highly Recommend

Extremely pleased with the quality and customer service. Just had my car repaired and it looks flawless. Even gave it back to me nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful and handled as much as possible with my insurance company. Completed the work quickly. Went above and beyond in making a small repair on my other vehicle. Would not hesitate to use them again and recommend to family and friends.

Best place to get your car repaired!

University Collision Center was the most helpful auto repair that I have been to. From the moment I arrived, their staff made sure that I was taken care of. Patrick was very knowledgeable and helpful through the entire process. For me it was the little things that impressed me the most. He was accurate in telling me when my car would be ready and he even helped make sure things went smooth with the car rental. Another attribute of this company that is well worth noting is that I could tell just in talking with the staff that they genuinely care about helping me. They also care about my satisfaction with their work. I got the vibe that they have the desire and drive to ensure that I was better off when I left then when I came in; which is the selfless service that other businesses should strive for. This is all without mentioning how awesome my car looked when they were finished! In recap UCC was friendly and did not take advantage of my inexperience, and respectful of my time with A+ service that ensured that I got the most out of my repair. I would recommend anyone to University Collision Center. Thanks again Pat for your help in making this process to easy!
