Staff is quick to welcome and ready and willing to be helpful. The dining is casual with several large screen tvs. There are games for the children. The menu is a wide variety of pizza, pasta, salad with fixings, and dessert pizza all for a very reasonable all you can eat price. Dirty plates are removed quickly with a smile. The aromas are heavenly and everything tastes as good as it looks and smells. Certainly a favorite place for a couple to dine for less than $10.

I have been ordering from Five Star Pizza for five years and I have never been a disappointed customer. The service is exceptionally fast and the pizza is affordable. They don't charge you $20 for tiny slices of pizza. The prices are the best because anyone who is living on a budget can order their pizza. I love five star pizza and I will continue to be a loyal customer. They are highly recommended.
Typical college town atmosphere, nothing fancy by any means. Don't let that sway your decision. Food & service was awesome. Big Lou pizza was "To Die For." Garlic knots were also very, very good. This location is in a strip mall, so parking isn't a problem. Clean bathrooms too. Would definitely go back next time in Gainesville. Go Gators !
Being a New Yorker all my life, I know and love pizza. I moved to Florida a few years ago and had given up on ever finding a good slice. To my delight and surprise my search ended at "The Italian Gator". The best pizza in Florida. The cheese, the sauce and the crust are authentic. I can close my eyes and be back home. DELICIOUS!
My only complaint about Satchel's is that they don't take credit cards. I've eaten at just about all the pizza joints in Gainesville and in my opinion Satchel's is the best one I've tried (I've been back many times). Their crust is crispy and flavorful, and all the toppings are extremely fresh. The atmosphere can’t be beet.
Satchel's Pizza is excellent. The place is always packed. But to me the most impressive feature is the way the employees are treated as equal partners. Fair wages and a strong sense of family are in play here. The whimsical decor and attitude are very welcoming. The house Salad is very good too!
Everyone raves about Satchel's Pizza in Gainesville, but man- Big Lou's has them beat! We're talking thick crusts and tons of flavor. Try their calzones: they're massive and delicious. My New York friends and true Italian family all agree on Big Lou's pizza and (American) Italian cuisine
I REALLY HAD A TASTE FOR THE NEW PIZZA DIP STIX,CALLD ARCHER TO PLACE AN ORDER N GUESS WHAT THEY ARE O-U-T OUT. LIKE HOW DA HELL YOU OUT OF IT. I WANTD TO CALL BACK N SAY WHAT DO YALL NEED SO I CAN BRING IT N HAVE "MY" ORDER MADE. UGH-TERRIBLE NIGHT!!!!N IM PREGNANT!
Pizza was great, but it cost is way to high. $42 for xlarge pie and drinks. My 3 small kids were charged adult prices for drinks. $2.75 a drink and no kids drinks, so 5 drinks was $15 which is almost the price of the pizza.
The best pizza in town. It is the closest to authentic New York pizza. Incredible pasta and salads too. The staff is friendly and the store is super clean. What else can anyone want?? Go visit
