Went in based on a referral and spoke to Christopher Harris. He showed me a great car and was a super nice guy. I test drove the car and took it to my mechanic to look it over, my mechanic found hoses connecte4d with glue, leaks sealed with what appeared to be epoxy several bolts missing from the front end which were serious safety hazards these guys just find junk at auctions and will rip you off they have no concern for you or your safety. RUN AWAY!! Seriously. There are plenty of honest car dealers in Gainesville CarMax sold me my car and I couldn't be happier!!
Recently purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima from Bob at Auto Plaza of Gainesville. The staff was super friendly and he helped to make sure I got the car I wanted. Highly recommend this place and cant say enough good things about it!!
I have mixed feelings about this dealership.I went there to test drive a used Corolla and I liked the car. I had been pre-approved for a loan through my credit union so I didn't need them to do any of the work on finding a loan. We could not come to an agreement on the price, however, because the additional "dealer fees" put the car out of the price range that I was looking for. They told me that they don't really negotiate on prices and that, if the car didn't sell soon, it would go to auction. I was kind of put off being told that they would rather sell the car at auction than drop the $899 dealer fee (I was willing to accept the price of the car otherwise.) So, I took my business elsewhere and got a better car for less money without the silly "dealer fee" or electronic filing fees. Of course, that didn't stop them from calling me repeatedly about their regret over losing my business.The car that I wound up buying was a nice, used Prius and I wanted a pre-purchase inspection since I was not getting a Toyota extended warranty. I took it to Gatorland Toyota for this inspection. I feel that their inspection of my car was realistic and honest. I was told that the car would need a few common maintenance items. Based on their inspection, I bought the car. I wound up taking the car back to Gatorland for the maintenance and I felt that the mechanic was again honest and did a good job. The mechanic didn't try to talk me into any services that I didn't need (the items that needed to be replaced were pretty obvious.) The downside to getting the work done at Gatorland was a sales guy came over to pester me as I was waiting for my car. He thought he was going to talk me into trading in my car because his "paperwork" showed me as the original owner. He remarked on my cars low mileage, he said that I mustn't drive it much and asked me to look at other cars in their inventory. I wasn't there for a sales pitch and it left me hesitant to return when I have additional needs.
Owners do not keep their word. After paying cash for my vehicle I was told that I was to wait two days before going to tax collectors for my title. It's been 20+ days and they still have NOT filled their paperwork! All they say now is they have 30 days! I will not send anyone to them ����
Bad place.. They don't understand how worth their customers time and money.I never recommend this place to anyone
I bought a cash car that their service department cleared, but did not inform me of the rusted undercarriage or the bad cam shaft that led to a blown rod in the engine 5 months later! I still owed a small balance...After speaking to the owner, who CONSTANTLY interrupted me, refused to listen, let alone work with me on the remaining balance! These people are A-typically car salesmen who will tell you anything to get your money! DO NOT BUY a car from here!!!!!!!!
My son bought a very nice pickup from Auto Plaza of Gainesville and was very satisfied. When my wife and I decided to purchase a vehicle we ended up buying here as well. Good selection of nice vehicles. Low pressure, straightforward, and easy to work with. Nice people. Seem to have a full range of financing options. Very satisfied. If we ever need to purchase another vehicle will go here first.
We recently shopped for a new vehicle at Gatorland Toyota. The hybrid 2016 RAV4 we wanted with the Convenience Package would be there soon we were told.We returned to complete sale, car did not include package we were promised. I threatened to walk away from the sale, dealership said they would install an auto-dimming mirror free of charge.I stressed that I would be out-of-state on a job site Monday and my wife would be in to pick up the car and to let me sign everything I had to sign and I signed three documents.My wife returned to pick up car with the $10,000 dollar down payment, the previously signed documents suddenly disappeared and we HAD to go with the Toyota financing of 10% and a $575 dollar per month payment for the remaining amount of $22,000. Bank of America also approved my loan for $22,000 at 3.4% and a monthly payment of $400.I just received an email from Bank of America that they received the necessary documents from Toyota, but they were "illegible".
I was greeted by the sales person at the door, and she was very helpful to me. I was getting service work done on my 2012 Sonata. She meet me in the showroom and asked me if I was ready to purchase another vehicle. I told her yes if my payments did"t go up. she then took me on a couple of test drives and I picked out another Sonata. She was very helpful and polite. She knows her cars and options very well.
