This shop has had my Honda Civic for over 3 weeks now for a simple engine swap. The first week I called them every day and asked for the status of the new engine that they had ordered and was told every day that it should be arriving that day. At the end of that week I got a phone call telling me that the shop they had purchased the engine from had sold it and they had to find me a new one, which tells me that for every day I called, they didn't contact the shop with my engine. The second week they finally found an engine on Wednesday but didn't put my car on a lift until the following Monday, telling me that my car should be ready by today Friday the 22nd. I called them yesterday (Thursday the 21st) and was told that my car shouldn't be ready until next week. This shop has screwed me over at every turn, I have never dealt with an auto shop with customer service like this and plan on reporting them to the BBB. You only get one star because there isn't an option for no stars. If you want your car back in a timely fashion DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. Update: I received a call on Friday the 22nd at 4:30 telling me my car was ready for pick up, and was able to pick it up on Saturday. The quality of work is good, although I've had to pull a few tags off of new parts that were installed. I was also called every day this week to be asked to take down my reviews.

Some years ago I lost my trusted mechanic, as he moved out of the area. In the interim, I've bounced around between chain stores and the dealership near where I work.
Recently, my check-engine light was coming on intermittently on my Camry, and I had been told that the code meant my catalytic converter was going out and would need to be replaced -- to the tune of $650. I decided to do a little checking online, and I found several forums where folks had posted that it isn't always the catalytic converter that is out when that happens on a Camry. It could be something else.
I looked for reviews on local car-repair shops and found Fullerton Automotive Clinic. What a fabulous find! I took my car in this morning to see what they said, and I think I've found my new trusted mechanic.
In my case, it turned out NOT to be the cat, it was the air sensors that needed replacing, at a much lower cost than replacing the catalytic converter.
Myrna, in the front office, was such a pleasure to deal with, and she even came to pick me up when the car was ready. I was just about ready to call a taxi, when she offered to come get me. What great customer service!
The repair was done timely, at a fair price, and with a smile.
If you're looking for a mechanic, I would have to say that the glowing reviews they've received are well-deserved, based on my initial experience with them. I will be taking my car to them for future repairs, and I expect that I will continue to be just as happy then as I am now.

It's hard to find a mechanic you like and trust... especially when you live a few hundred miles away! My son attends CSUF and found himself with a blown AC Compressor and snapped AC and alternator belts on his Acura TL... which lead him to being towed home from the airport. Since my son had a high fever and 2 midterms, the job of finding a trustworthy mechanic became my task. Thank goodness for the high praises on this site! As soon as Myrna answered the phone, I was grateful for trusting the glowing reviews I read! She immediately put my mind at ease. Within minutes, my son's car was towed to the shop. Knowing he needed his car for school and work, Myrna made sure the service crew diagnosed and resolved the problems quickly and efficiently... not a penny more than Myrna quoted and faster than the allotted time! Since one of the car doors was badly dented, I asked Myrna to give me a quote on repair. She quickly got back to me, trying to save us money. She found the exact same door at the salvage yard and they replaced it the next day. Myrna worked around my son's schedule and pick him up at his apartment. Myrna's son, who also attended CSUF, was just as friendly and gave my son valuable pointers on professors and classes. Myrna and the crew were nice, trustworthy and efficient! Like I said... LOOK NO FURTHER! This family-owned business proves to live up to all these raving reviews!

Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic is the absolute best. What a professional operation. I’ve dented my new car last November and they fixed it promptly and the work was perfect.
Then 2 weeks ago, someone hit my car in the parking lot without leaving any info. I took my car to them last Tuesday..The next day, my car was ready! They worked on it over night and it looks perfect..
Myra and Jim treated me great. and they were there to help me in anyway.
They are very honest and take pride in their work. They’ve been doing this for years and that just says a lot about them.
I strongly recommend this auto repair shop to anyone.

I had two visits and was extremely impressed. For the first visit, Jim gave a quick diagnosis of “check engine light on” problem and explained so well. Unlike most dealers who simply tell you to change the catalytic converter, which is truly waste of money, I have already got bad experience on that. I will have this problem fixed at Jim’s shop when I am ready. The second visit is for engine starting problem and an oil and filter change. I came to Jim as a service advisor at a Toyota dealer suggested to change the starter, which will cost $300. Jim’s people tightened battery cables and got the problem fixed. They did not charge a dim.

I was in a very small accident in the parking lot of our favorite movie theatre. I decided to use my insurance instead of the pearsons who hit me because i didn't want to play the waiting game. I did not have rental coverage and so my primary concern was getting my car repaired in a timely manner. The guys at fullerton automotive clinic rose to the request. I dropped off my car wednesday and got it back thrusday after work. I couldn't even tell my bumper was ever damaged. The body work looked great and they held true to their commitment of having the car ready in 1 day. Couldn't be happier. - Javier M

I went to these guys about 4 times. They are very honest, accidentally broke something gave me a call and fixed it the next day. They do good work, but forget to do the little things at the end. FOr example my friends car had 2 screws over tightened on the bumper which broke the plastic housing it should have been in. No big deal, but a inconvenience. My car had a missing securing clip which made the dash rattle excessively (fixed myself). They are far from a performance type of shop. Good prices. But the work only gets done RIGHT when you do it yourself.

I am new to the area and was looking for a reliable auto repair place. A number of colleagues at work referred me to this shop. I have taken both my vehicles there for repair work. I found there charges reasonable and the staff is very courteous. The fact that it is family run business definite adds a personal touch to their customer service. They were prompt in dropping me off to my work and picking me up in the evening while they worked on the vehicles. They were so nice to even open the shop on a Sunday to give me the delivery of the vehicle.
I will not hesitate to recommend others to try this shop.

Some people say.. ""You can never find a great and honest auto repair shop."" Well I got some news for you! I have found the best/honest shop. The guys at Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic took great care of my car and fixing it. Also great care in my wallet as well! The dealership that I use to always take my car into wanted to charge me an arm and a leg just to get some minor work done. So.. then on my way home from the dealership I happened to drive by Fullerton Auto Repair Shop so I decided to stop by and get a second opinon on what the dealer said I needed for my car. Well long story short I didnt need half the stuff that the dealership said I needed, Jim and Bill were my wallet savers! Thanks guys! The car is running great. I will forsure be back the next time I need something done!

I have been using this shop for a couple of years and you will not find a more honest auto repair shop anywhere!! I put my car in for a break job and a front wheel alignment. When I called to get my total for the job they told me I did NOT need the alignment so no charge for it, just the breaks and a few small things I did need.! How many shops would have charged for the alignment when they did not do it, most I would think!! They are younger than me so they have my business for life!

A good honest auto repair mechanic is hard to come by. I know because I am a car dealer in northern CA. After a thorough search oin the internet I came to choose Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic's Body Shop to take care of my sons car. He is living in PLacentia while going to school, but the other night his car was broken into at his own apartment. We've already begun to look for new housing but for now he needed his car fixed. They broke his window, stole his radio, gps, laptop, and school books. We went through state farm insurance. The repair shop handled everything and worked well to get my sons car repaired quickly. While it was there we had them fix a couple of other things, new brakes, broken door handle and some others. Even though I'm far away while all this is going on, I'm relieved to find and auto repair that would take care of my sons car while he is away at school. Next order of business is new housing then car alarm.

Hands down the best auto repair around. I had a pretty bad car problem of overheating. As I called around to different auto repair places I found that people were pretty rude and didn't really care unless of course i brought my car to them. When I called Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic the story was much different. Jim talked to me for probably fifteen minutes getting information about when it was overheating, after how long of a drive, did I see any thing leaking. After this little interview he gave me a list of possibilities to the cause. Of course when calling around I was not looking for someone to diagnose my needed repair over the phone, but Jim spent the time on the phone to give me a good idea of what repair and cost I could be expecting. I didn't decide to take my car here because it was the lowest price, I chose because I was given an honest assessment of what to expect. It was like night and day talking to Jim when compared to the other calls I made. This really is a special place and I will happily recommend them to you all.

Read some really good things about this shop, so I decided to give them a try after I backed my car into my garage door. I spoke with Jim over the phone and got an appointment that same day. After having Jim take a look at my damaged bumper and broken tail light, I was given an estimate. The repair estimate looked pretty good so I gave the go ahead. After the repairs were done, I recieved a phone call letting me know my car was ready. I took a quick look at my car, outstounding job, paid the bill and went on my way happily.
I would imagine my next visit will be just as pleasent, lets just hope its not too soon!

I could not be happier with the level of service I receive at Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic and Body. I've been here many times over the past few years and not once have i been disappointed. Oil changes tend to be sort of slow, but I refuse to take my car anywhere else for anything else. Most recently I had my son's car in for brakes after a 30K mile complimentary service was done at the dealership. The dealership quoted an outrageous amount to do brakes, belts, coolant flush, etc. When I called my shop it was hundreds less, again reinforcing my view. The job was completed that same day. Five star service and great pricing.

Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic is the best. I took my car in to get an estimate after I had gotten into an accident last week. It wasn't really that bad, but since it wasn't my fault I wanted my car fixed ASAP.
The estimate was thorough but quick. As was the repair. Jim kept me updated with what was happening with the insurance comppany. I got my car back in just a few days and was completely satisfied with their work. My car looked dang good!
If you get in an accident you should definately take your car to Fullerton Auto Repair Clinic to get fixed.
