Called because my AC not working on a Friday they came out that day and for that I give them 1 star. They replaced my capacitor. charged me 154.00 and 49.00 for call. Then 2 hours later my ac is not working again. They came back out this time a different tech. who says the other guy put in the wrong capacitor size should of been a 5.3 put in a 5.7 and my ac compressor and fan are overheating. He did not have the correct size so he put in a 5.5 but that he would be back out on Monday to fix. He also was accompanied by two other techs. Monday and Tuesday nothing so I call and with an attitude the scheduler says they will be out tomorrow. They did show up and my AC ran great until Memorial day in the middle of a cookout with guests quits working again. I call the after hour service who told me someone would call of course no one did, so I called Tuesday am and they said I was on the schedule. I said what if I was not going to be home. With an attitude again she says well we would call you before we come. Makes no sense, guess if I was at work I would have to run home when they called to greet them. Good thing I was off work though. Then to my surprise with no call guess who shows up, another tech and his helper. He proceeds to tell my husband that the fan motor and compressor are probably going bad and overheating my unit. I then asked him why was I charged 154.00 for a 5-10 dollar part. Yes I looked it up. He said well there is mark up of course. well seems like none of them know what they are doing, My ac after spending 203.00 to get fixed still is not 100 percent. It is working but imagine with 96 degree days in Florida it just randomly shuts off. Would not recommend this company to anyone based on my experience. Also advise that people look up cost of parts prior to paying such a crazy markup. Frankly, I feel they should refund my money for all the time and aggravation and I still have to call another company to fix my AC.

Had a Complete AC Unit with a ...

Had a Complete AC Unit with a New Air Handler in Roof on 052312. Line fron Air Handler to AC unit Leaked in roof through and into my Bathroom Ceiling. I called and a service person came out and repaired the line and charged me $95.00. The Unit is warrantied for 1 yr. Today is 083112. I tried to discuss this with Mike at Thermo Cool Office as I feel their should be no charge since they caused the leak when they put the New AC unit and Air Handler into my home. He stated I had to pay because he did not touch the line. Well, there was no leak before they put a new AC unit in and now I have a leak from the New AC Unit with visible damage on my bathroon ceiling. I think Thermo Cool should repair the ceiling also.



Absolutely great service

Late in 2010 my air conditioner was hit by lightning. I called Thermo Cool and they had someone on site within an hour to find what was wrong.

After learning I needed a complete new unit, they got the process moving, helping me work with my insurance company and getting the new system in quicker than I thought possible.

Their techs were responsive and professional. And, more importantly, I felt that they were concerned with my situation and did everything in their power to get my system running fast.

Thanks for turning a bad situation into a good situation.




The company came out to my house one Friday night when my A/C was not working. They quoted me at $4,000 for a new unit and told me that it was the only way to fix the unit. Later on when my insurance company called Thermo-Cool to verify all the details, Thermo-cool's manager told the insurance company that they could have fixed the unit for $700. I asked the manager why I was told the unit was not repairable and he said because the insurance company can tell from the paperwork that it was repairable. Thanks Thermo-Cool. Do not use these people if you want an honest company to work with.

This customer had asked our technician to submit a false statement to her insurance company stating that her unit was beyond repair. This is a false statement in regards to the way we handled the situation. She was just upset that she could not get a new unit at her insurance companies expense.
