Received a certificate as a holiday gift. Since this is not my "usual" place, I wasn't sure what to expect. In all honesty, I'll never go to Toscana again. The two stars I have awarded are for ease in scheduling an appointment, pleasant decor of the facility, and for cleanliness. As I walked in the door, I was greeted by my pedicure tech who promptly showed me the selection of polishes on the main counter....to purchase. Wow....a sales pitch within one minute of entering the salon - that has to be a record. The selection of polishes they offered that were not for purchase was quite limited, and had a difficult time finding a seasonally appropriate color...bright pink shouldn't be hard to come by in the summer months, right? Good thing I brought my own...I was shown to the pedicure area and asked if I wanted coffee, tea or water. I chose water and that's exactly what I got....a small glass of tepid tap water...no ice, no lemon/fruit...just tap water. At the very least, just have a mini fridge with cold mini bottles...no one expects the fruit, but if you're trying to portray a high-end spa feel, room-temp tap water isn't going to get you there.I was hoping for a relaxing spa pedicure, but that wasn't the case. The room was quite trafficked, and the tech was extremely chatty. Odd lighting as well, as bulbs were out in the corner where I was seated and the tech seemed to have a difficult time seeing my toes when it came to applying polish. Perhaps that is why I had to "tidy" the finished result myself. When I inquired about the lighting, she replied that it had been out for some time, the management knew about it but "no one's gotten around to it".When I divulged in conversation to the tech that I had circulation issues, she took this opportunity to launch another sales pitch for a line of lotions and creams they carry that are for circulation. No, no they are not. I'm under a doctor's care, and in reviewing the pamphlet she insisted I take, this stuff is not made to treat medical conditions. Just another sales pitch :(Did I have an awful experience? No. Was it completely enjoyable? Not really. Do my feet look nice? Yes. Will I go there again or recommend to a friend? Likely not. There are a bounty of other wonderful spa/salons in the area to choose from!
I was one of hundreds who bought the Living Social deal and it was well worth the wait to get my initial appointment. My initial consultation was impressive, and my cut & color were great. First time in years that I hadn't had a bad haircut. Great customer service takes time, and Jay and his team at Heaven Salon never rush any of their clients. He personally helped me to look my best when myriad serious medical issues were taking its toll on me. 18 months later I'm still a loyal customer and highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for high quality, personalized service.
I recently had "The Stepping Stone" Facial with Maggie. It was PURE BLISS!!!! The combination of both hot & cold stone really help to relax me to a state of nirvana I would have to say it was one of the most complete & thorough facial I have EVER received! The benefits of great skin & my level of relaxation together, met my very best expectations! I defiantly will be returning! The value received during this facial blows everyone else out of the water in my own personal opinion! Thanks again Maggie!
It is the best full service EVER! There is no bad stylist, pedicurist, manicurist, etc. in the establishment. Ownership has just been transferred to John Losorda's daughter and, hopefully, the salon's excellence will stay the same. Want color --- book with Mary. Want great styles --- John is the absolute best!!! Even the girls at the reception desk are great. The decor when you walk in tells you this place is professional, NOT your average hair salon!
I have been going to this place on and off for 20 years. The owner does an extraordinary job with hair cuts. The cut is so even and precise that any kind of bob/ long layers would have to be his "specialty". And then it grows out beautifully. That is why you should go there. (I admit, though, I was never impressed with the coloring ever since his long time colorist left. I do go out of my way to get the hair cut. )
The stylists there are very friendly & talented. I go to this location all the time. They have great prices and if you show your college ID you get 20% off Monday-Thursday! I got my high lights here and I was so pleased! The stylists are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to what hair products would work best for your hair type. I will definitely continue to get my hair done here!
I went to Leon's because of the YP reviews and the price. While they were very accommodating with me being late, I was completely disappointed to be charged $40.00 for hardly a trim. I think she did less than 10 snips of the shears. I would have gone with my hair washed and would have refuse to have my hair dried if I knew that was going to cost me so much. Buyer beware.
I have been going to see Trish for years now. She is amazing! I used to get brazilian waxes, but sugaring is so much better and lasts longer. I see Trish for brazilians and my eyebrows. Trish makes you feel super comfortable, her salon is clean, and she does an amazing job. She shapes the best eyebrows. I tell everyone to go see her. You should too!

I had a wonderful experience! Never having done this before, I needed to know what to do, when to do it and where to go. She was informative, didn't speak down to me and wasn't rushed at all. And the experience itself is WONDERFUL! Good for the body and mind.
