Great place. Great food. Great service.
3. 888 Bistro
This is a fabulous restaurant!! Strong drinks, pleasing atmosphere, and mostly good service. The food is really great, made to order and to please. Extensive menu, lots to choose from! I would recommend the Smoked Duck appetizer, 888 Stir Fry Beef, General Tso's Chicken.....I've been there a few…
Very close to Taiwanese favor-always glazing and 'rice-demanding'Taste is even above most of Taiwanese restaurant in San Gabriel and Rowland Heights (LA)!!You just being too lucky to be in Houston!
I normally LOATHE attempts at Chinese food within the loop, BUT there is something about this family owned and operated establishment that one simply can't hate. From their lunch specials to their beautiful dinner selections it's hard to make a bad choice at 3 6 9. Three, six and nine are lucky…
The decor is great, lot's of great things to try on the menu and an ever revolving daily special. The owner is a great guy and really tries to perfect every aspect of the restaurant... Of special note is the progressive wine list and wine prices which are the best we have found outside the loop…
Dont ever order any take out after dark, they are close to closing and will give you some pretty horrible food. Stale fortune cookies c'mon seriously , the shrimp fried rice I ordered was slimy and mushy it actually had the texture of oatmeal. The young ladies at the register act they dont want to touch you, they drop your change or credit card back in your hand. The food was mediocre at best the previous two times we ate there, this horrible experience was the third and final, stay away from QQ STAR
518 is a family owned diner the owners there really nice. My family eats here often, the food is so delicious and fresh you will not be disappointed. Sesame chicken , Gen. Tao's chicken , Kung Pao chicken , Orange chicken , Hunan beef are some of our favorites and are not overly saucy . The house salad with the homemade ginger dressing is delicious. The best deals to get the family dinner you get a appetizer and entrée , soup and salad for about $10.50 . There's always plenty left leftovers take-home .
I had the General Tso's Chicken and the Glaze was perfect, not syrupy at all like the other place! All the food is prepared from scratch daily and you can't beat that! The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was full of big juicy Fresh Shrimp, they weren't rubbery like the other place I used to order from. Rubbery seafood is a good indicator of FROZEN not FRESH Shrimp and Scallops. I had the Spring Rolls with the Peanut Sauce and I like the Peanut Sauce so much I ordered an additional container and the owner was nice enough not to charge me for it. That's rare with restraunt's these days. I would give these fine folks 5 out of 5 STARS for Quality and Service. Also too, the lady that took my order on the phone to be delivered spoke perfect English, was patient and polite andhad some great suggestions. I can't believe how affordable 518 Cafe is. I pay almost twice as much when I go to Houston Chinese Restraunts.
