Went and had lunch here today and the food was really good. I had the spicy beef and broccoli over chow mein with pork fried rice and foil chicken. I don't like trying new things but was very satisfied with the food. The service on the other hand was very poor. We sat a good 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. I don't mind waiting but when there are very few people dining there at the time, there shouldn't have been that long of a wait time. Also was disappointed that the three people I ate with all got their food about 10 minutes before my plate came out. If the service would have been better they would have retrieved 5 stars. I would still go back there but maybe not being as hungry as I was the next time.
If you like genuine Chinese food not the fast food kind like Big bear express then try this quaint little Chinese restaurant. It is located on the Northeast corner of W Clinton/N Marks ave. The workers are friendly, take your order immediately and is one of the best kept secrets in Fresno. Food is very well priced and the food is always hot and delicious. Most food is made when ordered and not pre-made. I love Chinese food and when I get the hankering for Chinese this is my spot. They also have a small dining area that is cozy and hidden away so you feel like your in a small San Francisco eatery.
A thoroughly underwhelming experience. I ate at Golden Restaurant because I was in the Tower District with friends to visit the Brass Unicorn and I remembered seeing a lot of 5 star reviews. I didn't take into account that many of the 5-star reviews are years old. I'm not sure if ownership changed or maybe my idea of good Chinese food is different than most. The chow mein was very bland and flavorless. The orange chicken was quite good though (if a little soupy - too much sauce).
My favorite Chinese in SE Fresno. I've been eating at Chop Stick's for years and the food is always flavorful and a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The menu offers the standard items you'll find on most menus in similar restaurants (a head's up for vegetarians, you won't find many options on the menu but ask the chef to substitute tofu for meat and he will) at reasonable prices. The only negative is the neighborhood. It's a bad one.
Best Chinese food I have had in years. While the decorations might make you think the food would be of a low quality, it is entirely the opposite. I first tried their food about 3 years ago, and since then, I usually eat there once a week. Short of going to PF Chang's and spending $15 a person, I don't know of anywhere else you can get Chinese food this great. It is usually about $6.50 a person, depending on what you order.
One of the best restaurant in west coast. Anyone who's passing thru Central California should try this place. I've seen pilots from internatioanl flights that stay overnight in Fresno dropping by this place. After trying this place it's really hard to pick any other restaurant. This chef deserves to be in 5-Star or higher major hotels and in major cities such as San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Always a delightful dining experience. Ming's is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Fresno. The food is always fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced. My favorite dishes include the pork chop suey chow mein, the orange chicken and the hot and spicy beef chow mein. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Definitely give Mings a try. You won't be disappointed.
The boyfriend and I were very excited to try this place. The experience was just decent. We paid $16.95 for one of the rolls which we had so much expectations for but it was just okay. Perhaps maybe we had to much expectations....but we have a favorite sushi spot to go to so don't think Roll one for mi has changed our minds.
This restaurant is an awesome place to eat a variety of original Chinese food. I enjoy trying new foods, as each time I am surprised with great taste. The place is always packed but well worth it. Some employees are kind of rude but the large amounts of delicious food makes up for it!!
We always frequent this small but great little restaurant where the food is just great. The head chef is also the owner named Chin. Portions are very generous, and the taste is superb. They also have the best Cherry Coke and Iced Tea with refills. Prices are moderate.
