This is the place! I finally found a school that has everything I'm looking for. I wanted real world fighting like I see on TV (mma and boxing), but I also wanted the discipline and traditions that you see in the kung fu movies. I didn't know Choy Lee Fut was a mixed martial art...very cool!
Great school. I've been looking for traditional martial arts training in Fresno for awhile and finally found the place. The training is demanding and enlightening with the emphasis on correct execution of techniques and the quality of the techniques. Sifu Dutch is a world class Sifu and I'm fortunate to have found him and studying with him. If you are looking for a demanding and enlightening experience in traditional martial arts training than look no further.
great fun for kids and adults..expert training as well as individual instruction.zumba classes are lots of fun..great workout!!!
This Martial Arts lacks Adult Environment and Training great for kids only nothing to really grow into, lacks real training for real life situations especially for adults . Their adult classes have nothing but little children in the class that hinder any progress of real training due to horse play and even the children that are higher belts have no self control in an adult class setting or environment . Better off going to Way of Japan for Adult Training if your interested in training as an Adult or look for another Martial Arts studio for Adult training.
Great gym for those with busy schedules! They have great specials...you have to go in to get them!Gym Guy
Bells karate strives to be the finest martial arts school in the Central Valley. Chosen 2015 best karate school by parent magazine, we will continue to he Fresno's leaders in Martial arts instructions.
Great gym! Staff is friendly and courteous. Facilities are clean and the machines are top of the line! Close to Woodward Lake and is in the Riverview Shopping Center.
Love the one on one attention, being an older adult Teresa took it slow and taught me the right way to do poses. She also teaches classes in Spanish!
There are great classes to choose from. The kick boxing was really fun but I really enjoyed the cardio/self defense class. The workout was intense and the instructor was motivating as he pushes you along. When it came time to learn self defense he was really patient and explained each move step by step. You get a sense that he really cares for his students and wants them to exceed. I would definitely recommend this dojo to anybody. I've learned so much and have gained so much confidence! Give this a try if your serious about getting in shape and learning self defense.
This place is a money making scheme. They charge a monthly fee and in order for your child to promote you have to pay a $35 pretest and a $50 promotion fee. There are many other reputable places that include belt promoting in their monthly fee! Parents beware! The owner does not respond to emails or phone calls. Parents beware! Take your children to a place that has their best interest in mind and not your pocketbook! PLEASE BE SURE TO GO TO THE BBB (BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU) AND SEE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS OWNER. He has stated in both cases he is exercising his right to terminate contract. Must be nice to just say "screw you" to who you want and not think of the children he is hurting! This issue could have been resolved with a actual "I understand how you feel." He is a psychology instructor at CSUF and it is obvious on the reviews from ratemyprofessor.com that he could be irrational because of his bragged about years of drug use. I am giving this place a one star for the employees that work there.
