General Info
In November of 1975, Larry Ludvigsen opened the doors of Ludvigsen Mortuary. Located on the corner of Hancock and 23rd Streets, Larry took over the building that housed the former Johnson Furniture Store that was owned by Carl H. Johnson who was Larry's father-in-law. Over the years the mortuary has done several additions and remodels to get the present day facility. In July of 2006 Ludvigsen Mortuary acquired the former Warne-Johnson Funeral Home in Hooper and the former Spear-Johnson Funeral Home in Scribner. We are thankful that we were invited to be part of these two wonderful communities and are grateful to the people for accepting us. We felt that these businesses should be more a reflection of the communities they serve so we changed the names to Ludvigsen's Hooper and Scribner Funeral Chapels.

Overall
After the recent loss of our d...

After the recent loss of our dear loved one unexpectedly, we chose ludvigsen mortuary for the funeral arrangments and my family regrets the decision greatly. Not only did they not honor the families wishes (a collaborative decision among next of kin) the owner allowed a companion (unmarried) to go back in and make changes to all arrangments without any questions or notifying the family. The owner, Larry, treated the family with nothing but disrespect, zero compassion during a very difficult time and a very uncaring, cold , unpersonal demenor. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE ever. During a hard time like this, the least he could have done is show a little sympathy-however we believe he seems incapable of this. If your looking for guidance or professionalism DO NOT EVER GO HERE.
