This is regarding their property management services team, Chit Prashar and Ira Joshi. In my first meeting to take a look at the unit for rent, he brought a wrong set of keys to the unit, so I had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes until he made a round trip to his office to get the right key set. Then he gave a wrong parking lot number, so after we moved in, we had to visit the property office to find out the right parking spots. My move in inspection shows that unit was not carpet cleaned or professionally cleaned, and I picked up bunch of debris, cleaned dirty kitchen and picked up a full bag of dust from my before move in vacuum and sent inspection note as a pdf and proof photos. However, when I moved out they charged me for the professional cleaning and carpet cleaning even though it was cleaner than when I moved in. California law prohibits from Landlord/management company to charge the cleaning fee if the unit was not professionally cleaned before move in. Also during last year I stayed there, they increase the rent by more than 10% and gave about 7 days written notices which is against law and claimed that he had a right to increase the rent because we were month to month which was not true. A landlord must give 60 days’ advance notice if the rent increase is greater than 10 percent. (Civil Code Section 827b.) Additionally, returning security deposit, they sent it after 21 days which was also against the law. Told me it was late because, I did not gave the my new address which was also not true. I sent them my address 8 days after I moved out. Ira email me she left a voicemail but I never got one and my new address was clearly stated in my email thread with her. I have talked to the half owner of the property when he visited the unit and he was also showing dissatisfaction with the management company also. I do not recommend doing any business with this management company.
