I just moved into town and was looking around for a good swim school and found Happy Fish on the internet, so i decided to walk into their facility that day. When me and my 3 girls walked in, the smell of chlorine was over whelming and it was very hot. I then waited at the front office for someone to help me for about 5 min. with no one in sight. When the guy finally came to help me he was rude and short as if he didn't feel like answering my questions. I didn't like their schedules for classes or their make-up policy. Most of the staff looked/acted really young and it just didn't feel like a warm kid-friendly environment. We decided not to enroll for lessons with them. I did however keep looking around for a good swim school and came across the American Swim Academy which i guess used to be Fremont Swim School and they have locations in Fremont and in Newark. The next day i went into their Newark branch, and right when i walked through the door i was greeted by a nice girl who showed me around the facility, and also walked me to the front office! Now thats GREAT service! We now have all 3 girls swimming at the American Swim Academy 2 days a week and they are doing great!

I enrolled by children in Happy Fish after trying out one of the other ones in the city. A world of difference. These guys are much more focused and really want your children to learn and quickly. My son went from starter to the highest level in about 1 1/2 years. Some instructors are great, some good and some perhaps need some training. But overall definitely recommended.
