Some friends and I went there to have dinner and two us were sick for two days. The worst food and service we ever had, I don't recommend this place to anyone.

I love this restaurant!

My friend and I drove down to Freemont just to check the place out. The atmosphere was very cute and cozy. Very nice. We had never tried Persian food before. The waitress was very helpful and she even brought me a sample of the sauce that would come with the meal i wanted to order just to make sure that i would like it. Super yummy! I dont remember the name of the sauce, but i think it was made with walnuts and pomagrante juice or something. It was super good. I ordered the Fensanjon chicken. It was really good. I dont remember the names of the the dishes my friend ordered, but she really liked her meal. My friend and i are not big rice eaters, but the rice here, we at the whole plate! They also served some really great tasting Naan. And for dessert, we had some ice cream that tasted homemade wich was absolutely delicious! and we also had some bachlava which was pretty good, and we also had a little chocolate cake that had some chocloate inside. Kinda like a hostess cupcake, but oh so much better. The have a great dessert and wine menu. And its cool because any dish that you order, it is like you are getting a meal for two. Be prepared to bring home a doggy bag! And we happen to have come on a friday night, that there was belly dancing! She was great. I had a wonderful experience at this place and i am most definately coming back to try some of their kabobs.

I love this restaurant!!!

Nice little place, very clean. Good service, and lots to choose from on the menu. They serve great food, and they serve big portions so be prepared to bring home a doggy bag. They make their own bread, Naan, which is super delicious! And I absolutely love their dessert menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Menu

The Bijan Restaurant has a great menu. They have a lot of things to choose from. They also have a great wine list, and a great dessert menu. I had the Caesar Salad as an appitizer, and it was delicious! I loved it! And for the entree, I ordered the Fensanjon Chicken. The sauce was great. It had a sauce that was made with walnuts and other stuff, but it was super delicious! I will defintely come back to eat here again.

Excellent Persian Food

I love to eat at this place. The first time I came here it was my first time trying Persian. Our waitress was very sweet and gave us some suggestions as to what we might like to order. I wanted to order the Fensanjon Chicken, which was really yummy. I really liked the sauce. And they even have belly dancing on Friday and Saturday nights! I had such a great dining experience at this place. I will definatley come back to eat here again.

Not-so-good Appetizer & Salad...But A DELICIOUS Entree!

Bijan was very easy to find, located right off 680/Mission Blvd. then head west (opposite direction of the McDonald's right off the freeway) for a little less than 2 miles. Pass the ARCO gas station and make a U-turn then it's in that shopping center near Starbucks.

Naan bread & raw onions: didn't care for the Naan and I know Persians eat raw onions with their meal...but I'm not Persian! :)

Dolmeh Barg: this was so-so and the yogurt sauce they serve with it was a nice touch, but I didn't love this appetizer.

Caesar Salad: the presentation was beautiful but the execution was weak. The dressing was nicely drizzled over the top of the romaine lettuce, but tossing the Caesar salad really should be done prior to serving. The croutons were miniscule and soft, not crunchy, so overall this was a fail.

Koobideh Kabob: I'm thankful this dish was the highlight of the meal! Every aspect of this plate was fantastic, the kabobs were perfectly seasoned and cooked (thank you Bijan for not overcooking the meat!) and the rice was delicious. The veggies were delightfully sauteed in butter (yummy!) and the portion was large enough for dinner plus a to-go box for tomorrow's lunch.

I'm definitely coming back here, but next time I'll skip the Dolmeh and Caesar Salad. The service was excellent.
