AutoNation Honda Fremont

WE BARROWED A LOAN FROM OUR BANK, EECU TO BUY A CAR AT AUTONATION IN FREMONT. WE SHOWED THEM THE LOAN PAPERS FROM EECU SO THEY VERY WELL KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING THAT OUR BANK, EECU, WAS GOING TO BE THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION USED FOR THE CAR. SINCE WE LIVE IN FRESNO AND IT WOULD BE A 3 HOUR DRIVE AND AN INCONVIENCE TO COME BACK AND FORTH ,THEY SAID THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE CAR OFF THE LOT THE SAME DAY IS TO TEMPORARLY USE THEIR FINANCIAL INSTITUION, CAPITOL 1, UNTIL THEY GET THE CHECK FROM OUR BANK, EECU WHICH HAD A 7 DAY GRACE PERIOD AND IF THEY DIDN'T RECIEVE THE CHECK WITHIN THAT TIME FRAME, CAPITOL 1 WOULD TAKE OVER AS THE MAIN LENDER. THEY GOT THE CHECK IN 2 DAYS. THE BANK AND I CONFIRMED THIS WITH THE DEALERSHIP.

WE STARTED PAYMENT TO EECU FOR OUR CAR RIGHT AFTER BUT 2 MONTHS LATER ON 11/6/2019, WE GOT NOTICES AND CALLS FROM THE DEALERSHIP'S BANK, CAPITOL 1, SAYING THAT WE OWE THEM 2 MONTHS WORTH OF CAR PAYMENTS AND WILL NOT HAND OVER THE TITLE TO OUR BANK EECU UNTIL WE GIVE CAPITOL 1 PAYMENT. TURNS OUT, EVEN AFTER WE CONFIRMED WITH THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY GOT OUR CHECK FROM EECU 2 DAYS LATER, THEY STILL USED THEIR OWN BANK FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT (WHICH HAS A MUCH HIGHER APR % THAN OUR BANK) AND NEVER INFORMED US.

WE WERE ABLE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THE SALES PERSON, THOMAS, WHO SOLD US THE CAR AND HE APOLOGIZED BUT DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. WE SPOKE TO THE GENERAL SALES MANAGER AND HE SAID HE'LL LOOK INTO IT AND GET BACK TO US. SINCE THEN, NO ONE HAS CALLED US BACK WITH ANY ANSWERS AND EVERY CALL WE MADE TO AUTONATION AFTER THAT, WE'VE BEEN GIVEN THE RUN AROUND, IGNORED AND HUNG UP ON.

THEY'D DO ANYTHING FOR A BIGGER PAYOUT! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! SHADY AF. THEY ARE NOT EVEN BBB ACCREDITED AND HAS A "F" RATING SCORE ON THE BBB SITE! WISH I COULD'VE DONE MY RESEARCH!

I really don't like going car shopping but when I got to the Honda dealer we were met by Kent. He really made it easy and made my wife happy with his wanting to make her feel comfortable. We had a choice of 2 cars and the first one we started my wife wasn't really happy with the way is sounded so he went to get the keys for the next one and that is the one we decided to get. We went inside and Kent was busy with some other customers that came back to see him so we were introduced to Benny (the better looking salesman) in his words. We did the numbers and weren't really happy with them so he went to get see if they would lower the price and came back with something we could work with. Along with going back and forth on the price there was a lot of humor going between us which made the whole car buying experience nice. If your in the market for a car do yourself a favor and go and see them. Ask for Kent or Benny. You won't be sorry. They are at Honda in Fremont.

AutoWest Honda of Fremont sold us a used car from their inventory one year ago. Unbeknownst to us or Autowest, the car had a modification that eventually caused an erroneous airbag deployment a year later. We complained to Autowest Honda knowing we had purchased the car “as is.” To our surprise, their new GM took care of us beyond what we had hoped for.

How many dealerships would take full responsibility for their used cars, “which by virtue carry its own risk?” It is nice to know that there are still honest businesses out there that care about people and not just about making money. We trust AutoWest Honda to fully take care of its customers.
