The Captain Lou Fleet has been the top name in the fishing/cruising business since 1948. We are conveniently located in Central Nassau County and are just a half-hour or less from New York City and Eastern Long Island. Each of our vessels are/have: U.S. Coast Guard certified and inspected Latest fish finding and navigation technology Climate controlled cabins (non-smoking) Ladies accommodations Beginner and child friendly All tackle and equipment available Fish cleaning service Each day, we launch fishing excursions on the waters of the Great South Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Throughout the year, we target a multitude of species including fluke, sea bass, blackfish, porgies, mackerel, cod, pollock, hake, haddock, bluefish, weakfish, striped bass and tuna. We sail daily on an open boat basis, so come down to Freeport’s Nautical Mile and join us for a half-day, full-day or night fishing trip. Our vessels are also available for private fishing charters. The Captain Lou Fleet specializes in school field trips, camp outings, corporate affairs, fundraisers or any other special event. Our experienced Captain and Crew will make your event a fun-filled experience for you and all of your guests. Half-day, full-day and night trips are available. We are now booking for the 2012 season. Contact us for more information.By night, we sail the sheltered waters of Long Island’s South Shore on our famous Moonlight Cruises. Charter one of our yachts for an unforgettable evening under the stars. The Capt Lou Fleet features two state of the art cruising yachts that are built for comfort. Both vessels have an overall capacity of up to 150 passengers. The Captain Lou VII and the Starstream VIII each have two levels. The first level features a fully enclosed, spacious cabin. Each cabin features large, restaurant-style booths and cushioned seating. In addition, each cabin is climate controlled to accommodate temperature needs at any time of the year.Both vessels are equipped with a food service and bar area. The buffet area is located on the first floor inside the cabin at the rear of the vessel. The bar area is located on the first floor outside at the Stern (back). Having the food and bar separate helps to keep guests comfortable while at either area. The first level also offers seating areas in the front and down each side. The second level has a hard top roof with full-length side enclosures. It also features a large dance floor with additional seating surrounding the dance area.
