Absolute worst. Bought $6k in furniture last year and coffee table started coming apart. Called Powell’s and they said the piece isn’t made anymore. The manufacturer gave them $1k since they aren’t made and we were told to pick out aomething else. Nothing matches our color scheme and we just want $$ back. Now we get the run around. Custom couches broke and having an issue putting in for the warranty (which we paid for). Went in store and a sales rep made it clear he wasn’t getting commission helping us and left us while he helped some other people. I will NEVER buy furniture from this business or recommend them to our friends and family. They are all smiles when they want your money but don’t stand behind their products or make an effort to make things right with the customer.

Bought a Simmons foam Beautyrest Comforpedic Advanced HP FDN mattress set. Guaranteed for 25 years and is pure junk. Sunken close to an inch where each person sleeps after 3 years. Powell's would not stand by warranty-said it was a "comfort issue". Well, yaaa! Going back to a normal mattress that can be flipped made by the Original Mattress Company in Glen Allen,Va. USMattress on the internet also sell normal mattresses.

We just had a wonderful experience with this company. We called about a power recliner that had stopped working. They were very responsive during the initial conservation and within two hours our chair was repaired with a new motor. I have been buying furniture for over forty years and this is the best service I have ever received. Even though the warranty had expired their was no charged to us. Ashley was the service rep we talked to and Charlie was the tech that did the repairs. Great employees like these two are what makes a great company. We will definitely consider this company as our first choice the next time we purchase furniture.

I bought two pieces from Powell's. The delivery guys came in and announced (without actually trying) that they could not take them up our stairs.The salesman informed us that they would keep the deposit. Said furniture would be severely damaged or destroyed by return to warehouse so unable to resell! I doubt that is true and certainly not my fault if warehouse does not take proper care of furniture. I was told that my past business did not matter. I also called the store, asked to speak to person in charge and told that he refused to speak to me. In the end, they refunded part of the deposit. I now take my business elsewhere.
