Founded in 1992 and located in Franklin, Tenn., Franklin Classical School, also known as FCS, is a private, Christian school that provides a range of academic and recreational opportunities for students in grades 5 through 12. It offers various sports activities that include soccer, volleyball, baseball, football, lacrosse, and basketball. The school conducts classes in math, English, science, history and language arts. It teaches lessons in astronomy, music and technology education. Franklin Classical School offers performing and visual arts, foreign languages, physical education and Bible study classes. It has an academic assistance office that provides support in navigating through the college application process for students and parents. The school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and the Association of Classical Christian Schools.
