Great service and good prices. The staff rally knows their their stuff and are always happy to answer questions. I've sold a few antique guns to them in the past and I got as good a deal as if at a gun show. There are a few other good stores but I think Franklin Gun Shop is the best I've been to.
Go here to hold different guns to see what you like. Then go elsewhere to purchase--you can save a considerable amount of money. Several of my friends do this. They have a decent supply of different guns, but pricing kills it. Trust me.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I purchased a Ruger LCP2 from the Franklin Gun Shop. I went to the range and after 30 shots from a brand new gun, the slide fell off and I had to send it back to Ruger. There were three broken pieces. I went to trade in the gun for LCP 1 that was 299 three weeks ago and he tried to charge my husband 379 and called him 'a liar' and yelled in his face. He also told him he was 'a bad customer' anyway. As a retail manager, this is the most unappropriate behavior I have seen from a business owner. I was embarrassed for this shop and the service, lack there of, that they offered.
Ive been to this location 3 times prior but today was terrible and the worst. In past, the employees were very helpful and friendly. I even recommended this place to my friend so we decided to have a fun weekend at this range. Boy, do i regret making this recommendation. Im even embarassed about bringing my friend here. Prior to arriving, we were at Academy Sports shopping for ammo and decided to call the store to make sure there were no sort of special ammo restrictions. The associate who answered told us to just make sure we used fmj brass ammo only. So we happily stocked up on the brass ammo available. Once we arrived, a bald headed guy was with his client and yells out " be with you guys in a minute". No big deal, we patiently wait. Then 5 minutes of waiting goes by and he proceeds asks my buddy have we been here before and what type of guns we are shooting. My buddy brought his AK. I brought my 9mm and AR15. He then rudely says "No pistol AKs" and Russian Ammo. Then he looks at me and rudely says "take your Ak to your car". Not even considering to ask me what type of gun i brought. Then proceeds to say i'll be back and goes to his previous client. So my buddy and I left. We were going to spend money there but with that sort of professionalism and demeanor towards potential clients, they can kiss our money and loyalty goodbye. I cant believe i even considered to pay for a carry course here. We left and gladly went to Nashville Armory where we were happily greeted and attended to with professionalism. We dont mind waiting for lanes to open there as long as they were professional and friendly. It is a subpar facility that charges too much anyways
I have purchased multiple firearms through the Franklin Gun Shop. Rifles and handguns. And their customer service has always been top notch. The best I have found at any business, not even just firearm related. They have always done me solid. So when I went over this past weekend and purchased a new pistol, imagine my shock when there was a problem. I purchased a Springfield XDs that is a smaller pistol meant for more of a concealed carry. And while I was purchasing it for that reason, I still needed the extended magazine because it just wasn't comfortable otherwise. The sales associate told me that the pistol itself came with two of the regular magazines but showed me the extended one they had for sale. I purchased both and went home. After getting home and looking through the paperwork, I discovered that an extended magazine should have come with my weapon rather than me having to purchase it separately. So I sent an email to the store expressing my dissatisfaction with the situation. This was after close of business on Saturday. They are closed Sunday and Monday but first thing Tuesday morning before he even made it into the shop, I got an email from Mike apologizing for the screw up. He apologized numerous times and gave me a ton of options for how to resolve the mix-up. This allowed me to choose which was the best option for me and it was quickly handled. His email to me showed me an owner that cared about his customers and their happiness. The options let me know that he didn't just see this as a "whatever" thing and just give me the same old line of "come in and we'll fix it". I have been repeatedly shown that level of customer care from these guys in some way with every firearm I have purchased from there and that is why I will continue to buy all my firearms and accessories from there no matter how far out of my way I have to go to do it.
I am a paying range member and I went in today to shoot a little. Recently they've been changing policy without notifying members, but today, I was told I had to check in and wait for a lane. Seems they have a free range visit promotion and the place was packed. I thought paying members might get preference as they do at other places, but not here. Needless to say I will not be renewing my membership.
Awesome range! Smart staff and great selection.
These guys are GREAT. They are eager to build a business and clientel in this town and it shows. I just bought a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T from them. The price marked was a little high and I brought it to their attention. The immediately researched competitor's prices and made me a deal! SOLD, American! What's more; two days later, they called and said that they had just recieved a shipment of 9mm ammo and they were holding a 50 round box for me... ON THE HOUSE. What?!? These guys are serious about building a long list of loyal customers and they can put me at the top of the list!
Way over priced. I wanted to get some ammo for a 1938 Mannlicher which is a 8 x 56R. It's a pretty uncommon round but I was in the area so I figured I'd give them a shot. The stuff goes for around $20.00 a box of 20 online add shipping and it's around $25.00. So the first guy I talked to had no idea hat was even a calibre. I then got another salesman who found one box for the low low price of $62.00. What a rip off. I didn't buy it and will never go back
Be VERY careful when dealing with this store. If possible I would check alternative area gun shops. The reasons besides over MSRP marked prices is the owner's unprofessionalism and anger if a valid questionable issue is politely brought up by the customer. Even if it is a longterm customer of many years and many top dollar purchases.BE VERY AWARE and take someone with a strongly based knowledge of firearms if you are not experienced.
