Where have all the experienced butchers gone, I asked for ground beef ! Came home and found out it was ground lamb. I am going to Nicholas Market from now on, I see the old butchers from Market Basket are their.

I cannot say enough great things about Market Basket. From doing an outstanding job catering my wedding to having the best prepared foods and meat department around. You can tell they put a lot of time into the training program as all of the employees are knowledgeable and greet you with a smile. The store gets crowded at times, but it is well worth it. The family who owns it is also very philanthropic.

Overall

I have been going to Market Basket for 16 years. There is no consideration towards its patrons. Quality has declined and a good percentage of staff have left or are planing on leaving. Yes, they have great prepared meals for us lazy people who do not feel like cooking but the rest of their items can be purchased elsewhere for cheaper. I have always purchased produce from Market Basket but lately, I arrive home to find it has gone bad and don't think of returning it as they are not happy when you do.

"You Don't Know What You Have Until It's Gone" This quote relates with my experience with the Market Basket perfectly. Ever since I left for college, I realize how much I miss the Market Basket. Wonderful place to work! The people of Market Basket are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They believe in the brand and why Market Basket does what they do. The food is mouth watering and the experience is one of a kind.

Owner watched employee embarrass client and did nothing

I have been shopping at MB for a few years. I always thought their success was a measure of ownerships respect of the local community and his product .

While product may not be in question, I witnessed a public embarrassment of a patron by an employee ALL BEING WATCHED PASSIVELY BY THE STORES OWNER. I think the woman accidentally touched meat while attempting to show the size cut she wanted and some female employee stormed over and started yelling at her loudly. The entire store was shocked and the owner did nothing.

This town should technically be like no other, but it's not and public embarrassment for something completely harmless or unintentional is unwarranted as the rest of this town looks on.

I saw no respect or integrity demonstrated by ownership - not management, but ownership and they just lost my business.

Hello Nicholas Market
