Hillyer, Michael R Dr, D

I was referred to Dr. Hillyer at the Bluegrass Chiropractic and Spine Center by several people at work. I called in the afternoon to make an appointment, and was seen the very next day!



The staff is professional and very friendly. I felt at ease and was immediately impressed by Dr. Hillyer's genuine interest in hearing me describe my past experiences with doctors and chiropractic (some negative!) and also my chronic hip pain. After that first exam and adjustment, I immediately felt better.



My recovery from this injury is taking some time. In the past I have seen family doctors, a rheumatologist, and other chiropractors and have been diagnosed and re-diagnosed with conditions including fibromyalgia, bursitis and osteo-arthritis, going back several years. My medical doctor told me not to stop living my life, but had nothing to offer but anti-inflammatory drugs and pain pills.



I am learning with the treatment and advice of Dr. Hillyer, that what I most likely have is an old injury that I have never recovered from. He is providing adjustments and other therapies (including massage and nutrition advice) which are all together making a real difference and are finally offering hope that my problem is fixable.



On top of all this, my insurance covers my treatment and I don't have to wait long in the waiting room. I would recommend Dr. Hillyer to anyone suffering pain and discomfort - whether it's a new injury or a chronic one and you're out of ideas.
