I have been with Farmers for 12 years. The customer service was great and bank policies were okay. Since they merged with United, however, I have been dissatisfied. The latest: I wired a money transfer from Commonwealth Credit Union to my Farmers/United account. CCU charged a $15.00 fee; this was okay, because they always do and I knew about it. For the first time, however, United also charged me $15.00 to put the money in my own account. Farmers never did that, but United now does. Also, my ATM card expires at the end of the month, and their only response was to suggest that if I didn't get it in time to go online and contact every single institution that does an automatic payment from my account. And then, if and when I get my card, to do all that once again. Nothing about checking to make sure my ATM card will be sent! As soon as I can, I'm going to change banks.

From Business: Any financial institution offers checking, savings, and loans. But the people helping people philosophy of Kentucky Employees Credit Union is what sets us apart. …
LOTS of problems, insufferable bureaucracy. The employees are very nice, but the Stalinesk building gives me the creeps. They started charging for what I get for free at my credit union; even deactivated another account because I hadn't used it in a year due to the terrible website.
I had to go to the 5\\3 branch in Frankfort today to make our company deposits like I do about 2 or 3 times a week.while I was there I thought I would cash my Kentucky State tax refund check .after I gave the teller all the IDs and everything she said there is a 4.00 charge to cash a state tax check.are you all that hard up for easy money to charge people a crazy fee to cash a 74.00 check.I will use are other bank in town for all our other deposits ..Hope you have to borrow money from the tax payers again. Never Again 5\\3....customer service my _ /: s
Absolutely the worst customer service in Banking that I've ever experienced. Requires minimum time to offer certain services and charges for accounts under a certain amount.
This bank is very user friendly - few hassles - and as different as Mt Everest (being Main Source) and Death Valley (Bank of America).
