Went there following knee replacement surgery. Things went well for about a week. Then I started feeling bad, extreme fatigue, finally chest pains. The nurse said my chest pains were due to sore muscles, ignoring the risk of blood clots post-surgery. A respiratory tech claimed I was fine. Next day, when I complained of chest pains, extreme fatigue, problems breathing, and dizziness, the OT told me I was basically lazy. Later, they made me push myself in the wheelchair back to my room even though I was having chest pains, abdominal pains and shortness of breath. That afternoon, the physical therapist knew I was having trouble breathing & dizziness but urged me to try harder. Finally, with crushing chest pain, excessive sweating and unable to breathe, I collapsed from a pulmonary embolism and went into cardiac arrest. They should have known the risks of blood clots and pulmonary embolism and treated me at the first sign of chest pain. I continue to suffer due to their negligence.

This place is horrible. I have been going 3 times a week for 2 weeks and I am still in pain. I need to be adjusted and I have only been adjusted twice since I have come here. Also, they make you wait to be treated until a week or two later they get your xrays. You have to schedule several different appointments to see 3 different doctors which is inconvenient. You have to do your exercises in front of a room full of people on dirty yoga mats. I have been talking to other chiropractors and you should be getting adjustments everytime you go in which is crucial when you are first injured. The only relief I have is from being adjusted and that has only been twice and my auto accident was almost a month ago. I am in the process of seeing a different chiropractor now and I highly recommend you NOT coming here if you want your injuries fixed.

Never go there! I chose them a...

Never go there! I chose them after visiting 2 facilities before hand. They gave a professional impression. I had double knee replacement on October 15th, 2012 at USMD Fort Worth. On the 19th I was transferred around the corner to Baylor Rehab. They could not find any paperwork. Bottom line was that I went from intravenous pain medication to pill form with this transfer. They had no Meds for me and it was 16 hours before they got my pain under control. It took 5 hours for them to give me one pill. Next day a nurse tech came in to help me to the bathroom. She was gruff. I had to ask for her to put the chair on top of the toilet. Then when I sat down I fell over because none of the legs of the chair were touching the floor. I kept insisting she call for help but she insisted she could get me back in the wheel chair. The pain was excruciating! I had my cell phone in my pocket and texted my family to come! Before it was over they had to give me a Zanxax and oxicodin. I should have never been on these strong Meds if they had of been controlling my pain.As far as pain Meds, the policy is to ask for them. I set my alarm every 4hours and asked. I did not want to get back into pain. Some nurses would argue with me that it was not time. I think I got a bad reputation from the 16 hours of screaming when I 1st got there to the next day when I fell off the toilet. I feel they should have been sympathetic as to everything I had been through, but no, they were almost mean. My daughter was on the cell one day & she heard a nurse talking to me and she said she sounded mean. I told her I was used to it.Next, I had to get shots in my stomach 2 times a day. They pinch the skin & put in the shot. One nurse stuck it straight into my stomach. I'm skin & bones and it made a big hematoma! Next, one nurse when drawing blood, stuck me 2 times with the same needle. This is the best! One day as a nurse was calling off my Meds and putting them in a cup, I heard her say, synthroid. I said I take Tirosint for my thyroid. She said, you take both! No where on any record did it say that I take Synthroid. No one bothered to see what Tirosint was! The record just said Patient''s Meds! The tested my blood and my TSH was 22! High end is 4.5! So on top of the pain I was in, I was also extremely hipper and couldn't eat or sleep! During Physical Therapy I saw therapists that were mean to there patients. Almost rough with them as they took them off a machine before their time was done. Also there was no hygiene in the gym. I wore gloves everyday. Ther didn't wipe down anything between patients. There were other things too numerous to mention. Like how all the nurse and nurse techs would just hang around the station and just looked thuggy and suspicious. I hit the main points. I talked to the administrator and Charge Nurses on each thing and no one was too concerned about anything.I will also be filling out there questionnaire they sent me. Baylor has a great reputation in Ft Worth and that is why I chose them. But this facility needs a whole new crew.

NEVER EVER TAKE SOMEONE YOU LO...

NEVER EVER TAKE SOMEONE YOU LOVE TO THIS FACILITY!! From the outside, it looks great and well organized, however looks are decieving! It's like a prison and they refused to allow my mother to come home for her 25 year long tradition of an overnight stay with her grandson on Christmas Eve. They tell you one thing and do whatever they want. We have desperately been attempting to coordinate the care of my mom's outside physicians with the "staff" physicians at Global and, although they tell us they will follow the doctor's recommendations, they don't. If we weren't CAREFULLY following her every move, every medicine, every labwork drawn, she would have been sent back to the hospital several times. Doctors and staff do NOT communicate with the patient's family, even with a medical POA in the chart. If you don't "require" a weekly meeting and almost daily report with staff and care-givers, you have NO idea what is going on with the patient. This facility is far from being patient oriented and is run more like a prison built on ego and self-serving practices. This facility is beautiful, clean and welcoming. They do meet the patient's very BASIC care and needs. However, staff is what makes or breaks a rehab facility and Global, with their lack of professionalism and disinterest in what's best for the patient, and falls to the bottom of the list. Think twice before taking someone you care about to this facility and if you MUST take them there, STAY ON TOP OF EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR CARE AND PROGRESS!

DO NOT TAKE SOMEONE YOU LOVE T...

DO NOT TAKE SOMEONE YOU LOVE TO TEXAS REHAB HOSPITAL!!! Rehab doctors are incompetitent and sent my mother back to the hospital with congestive heart failure! Within 3 hours of sending her back to the hospital, they had placed someone else in her room, thrown all of her personal belongings in the hall UNATTENDED. Had we not gone back to collect a few "necessary" items from her room, we would never have known that her things were sitting out in the halls, including her clothes, walker, cell phone and change purse! Most nurses and techs speak little english and comprehend even less, making staying informed about the patient's care plan absolutely impossible. My mother has NEVER fallen and never been a fall risk until taken to this facility, where she fell numberous times. Facility is new and, from the outside, appears clean and well attended. However, once you have a patient admitted, you begin to see the "true" side of what TRH is all about. I would NEVER take someone I cared for back to this facility. We fought to get her in a place we felt would be more than adequate for her short-term rehab care, but fought even harder to keep her alive after only a brief stay. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS FACILITY!!!
