My mom transfered to Heartland from Azle ER after a fall. I didn't see but one review and it was bad. BUT we could not have been more pleased! Very clean, no odors, the rooms are nice and cozy and the staff was excellent. The food was great and guests can eat in the room or in the dining room with your loved one for only $5. I would leave her there with no hesitation at all!

Very confusing office address, I searched the office looking for caregiver, website claims high profile clients, my expectation is at least decent office/commercial location, I ended up in apartment location. I gave my business to a reputable company, BBB accredited, topnotch.
Absolutely the worst agency!!! They send someone different weekly, never on time. Lazy, we have gone through 6 or 7 care givers in 2 months. 1 dusted, we have asked for light cleaning, they do not do it. 1 slept on the couch, another missed my Mom leaving the house at least 5 different times, that I know of. Not 1 of the caregivers that have come knows how to take care of an Alzheimer's person, they have yet to bathe or change my mom. The supervisor will call after the caregiver should have shown up to report they cant make it and no one else is available. I hope the agency gets closed down quickly!!!!!!!!!!!
They really deserve no stars! Later we learned they are known in the industry and local area as the hospice that will drop you from continuous care as soon as possible and blame Medicare regulations. We know that's not the case because other hospices offered to take over care and, given our mother's condition, assured us they would stay until she passed. Vitas dropped our mother only 5 days after she had a major stroke and only three days before her death. During this time she was unconscious and having seizures, fever, high BP, and pain. They expected the family to monitor and administer medications and they would only drop by twice a week. The last instructions they gave before leaving us was "Call us when she dies".
My son went to the doctor's office and we were dispensed with a nebulizer. We were told the nebulizer was absolutely SIMILAR TO RETAIL so I went ahead and signed the papers for the equipment. When I went home, I did a brief internet search and realized that Cook Children's Home Health charged me 3-4 times retail price ($185 vs $50). I have not used the nebulizer and tried to return it but the manager said since I took it home, the product was not returnable. The offered to give me a 25% discount but that doesn't even come close to retail price. Their practice is VERY devious. Please be aware when buying products from them and make sure you check prices beforehand. Customer service was also poor. My calls were transferred many times to people who could not resolve or address my billing concerns.
I had major surgery and needed someone to help me function alone. The caregiver that Comfort Keepers sent over was wonderful. She was so efficient in taking care of my meal preparation and housekeeping without specific direction. My laundry was always done to my standards, the way I would have done it. She was very friendly and professional. It was easy to trust her; there were never any problems when I sent her to the store to shop for me. She was always a competent and safe driver when transporting me to my doctor’s appointments and to the pharmacy. I was also relieved with the professionalism demonstrated by the management and office staff of Comfort Keepers. They went out of their way to help me and service my needs. I can only think of positive things to say about my caregiver and of the Comfort Keepers organization.
Provides great home health care and transportation to doctor's appointment which is a plus if you don't have bus service in your area. The staff works very hard to help all clients basic needs.
Is giving my loved one wonderful care. Could not ask for better people.
BrightStar has gone above and beyond what I had ever expected. Very professional and genuinely care about people!
