The Fort Worth Star-Telegram provides news and information to residents in the greater Dallas area and the state of Texas. It has a circulation of more than 235,000 daily and 332,000 on Sunday. It has received two Pulitzer prizes for public service and news photography. The Star-Telegram's website, www.Star-Telegram.com, provides quick search, directory links to the best of Fort Worth-Dallas-area Web sites from businesses and local government sites to the personal home pages of local residents and free community publishing. It also provides information on local entertainment, school news, maps and local services. The Fort Worth Star was founded in 1906 and merged with the Fort Worth Telegram in 1909 to become the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. In addition to its headquarters in Fort Worth, the paper maintains two zoned-edition offices, one in Northeast Tarrant County and the other in Arlington. The Star-Telegram also owns the Alliance Regional Newspapers, a group of nine small suburban newspapers published weekly and monthly, the Mansfield News Mirror, a suburban newspaper published two times each week and the DFW Auto Finder, a used car magazine published weekly with a circulation of 40,000. The newspaper is a subsidiary of The McClatchy Company.
