This is a new restaurant from the owner of Daniele Osteria located on Oak Lawn in Dallas. It's easy to access off of I-30, located in a strip mall and a little hidden from view. Though advertised as a pizza and wine place, specials are also offered off menu. It has the feel of an Osteria - more upscale than a pizza place but unpretentious. The price of food and wine is remarkably reasonable. So far we have tried several different pizzas and all were very good. The wine list is very, very good. Also we recommend the sauteed spinach in olive oil and garlic, calamari - especially tender, grilled vegetables - an appetizer large enough for a meal and the eggplant "pillows" that melt in the mouth. We also very much liked the manicotti and lasagna specials. Both were "cheesy" but light and in an Italian tomato sauce that was prepared so well it might have been made by my Italian grandmother. In fact, everything was good enough to order again, but we still like to keep trying new dishes. We can easily make a meal out of just the appetizers - but so far haven't been able to resist either the pizzas or the specials. The servers are clean - neat in appearance, personable and attentive. Daniele is often present and personally checks with each table to see if everything is satisfactory. I was tempted to rate it with 5 stars but have never given a restaurant a perfect score.
8. Mama's Pizza
Pizza OK, not great. Its close to home so USED to go there. Intendended to use groupon, for special, but could not. Cashier grabbed my groupon and entered it, saying its a better deal. within 30 seconds (even before giving my credit card) - I told her it was not - than in fact it was $2.50 …
Disappointing. Just came back from "Mama's Texican Kitchen". Ownership at 8545 Boat Club Road, claims this restaurant just opened yesterday, with grand opening to be held July 11, 2014. Yet, after reading previous reviews, it appears they have been there at least since August 2013. When I…
25. Rosa's Cafe
I'm not sure what time the previous reviewer has visited Rosa's, but I experienced the opposite! The dining room has always been extremely clean, and there seems to be plenty of employees taking care of business. We've never had ANY problem finding a clean table ... every time that we've ever …

This place is Great!!! On Tuesdays when they have the $3.99 Taco Dinner Special, it's Delicious. The Cashiers are Quiet, But get you Taken Care of Quick. You don't have to wait in line Too long. But I want to give Credit where Credit is Due. The Bus Ladies who Clean The Tables should get a Raise…
I totally agree with the review below mine...they do not like it when you come in an hour or 30 minutes before closing...I know they are ready to go home and all but thats their business ya know and MOST nail shops encourage you to come in even if it is 15 minutes before closing, they want you as a customer and they want your money in reality. NOT these guys they are rude and smug if you bother them when there about to get off...and if you go in on a Saturday they are rude, but if you go in at 2 oclock on a Tuesday they are nice because they are so slow...I will say they do a good job an pedis but there acrylic nail work is nothing to brag about, I was not very pleased with the work they did on mine. PS: They are the pushy type...you say you want a regular pedi and a regular pedi only and they are like do you want nails...do you want eye brow wax...do you want delux pedi...what about a design...to the point where your like NOOOOOO just do it how I asked please!!! GEEZ...and if your one that likes there nails real short like I do they get mad because they said its a waste and she refused to cut my nails to the shortness that I liked until I told her if she did not cut them how I wanted (since I am the paying customer) that I would get up walk out and not pay them a dime and take my business elsewhere...Needless to say she finally did it!
This review is for the Panchos on Granbury Rd at their new location. I've eaten at Panchos in several states (for over 35 years) and have always enjoyed their food and service. Today, however, was a bit of a let down. The food was as good as always, but the service let a lot to be desired. There was only 1 server and should have been more than sufficient for the 3 tables she had. After being seated, she checked with us after about 10 mins to make sure all was ok. After that, it declined. I raised my flag about 10 mins later....she walked past my table to ck on the others, who incidently didn't have their flag up before returning to me. A few mins later, a customer wanted a bowl for his ice cream. She simply said, "We're out." She didn't even offer to get a small available at the buffet counter; he had to use a plate. 15-20 mins later, 2 of us, at different tables, had our flags up...but she was in the corner by the back door talking on her cell phone. It was another 5 minutes before she got off the phone. We ended up serving ourselves. I've never experienced such poor service at any Panchos and I believe she was a manager based on her attire. What can I say other than I will not go back to Granbury Rd Panchos.
Great waitress, good food. Never had anything I haven't loved. Huge pizza, fresh pasta, quick friendly service. FYI always packed at lunch time. Must try "Chicken Fra Diablo" recomended by waitress and I'll never eat anything else. We frequently get Ziti Bolognese, Spaghetti w/ Marinara, Linguini w/ white clam sauce, Pasta Sampler Platter, Cheese sticks, Stromboli, Calzone... Love the place, not for those who have an aversion to grease. Very causal my kids have even been in there in there dress up clothes (my daughter a princess and my son a train engineer) and the waitress remembers them. We like to eat in or call and order for pick up and have it at home quick and easy. The owner/manager (?) is not the chattiest guy in the world but the waitstaff way make up for it. You go in twice and you'll be recognized and drink order remembered. It's a seat yourself which I like that way we don't have to be in view of the tv's (my personal pet peeve) while we eat. For those who do like it I've seen the tv's on everything from ESPN to CNN to some spanish channel. Good for those who like it but for those who don't there are tables where you can hear but not see.
Okay, Recently...I stopped at a new pizza place called "Marco's" in Fort Worth (Oakmont/Hulen). I'd been craving a "different" kind of pizza...instead of the same ole-same ole (ya know). MAN! Did I find it at Marco's Pizza! The staff was super friendly, but more importantly, the pizza was AWESOME! Since I'd never tried it before, I had "a bite" when I got back home (just a "tester" or so I thought). Well, that was it... I couldn't put it down! Before I knew it...I'd eaten the rest of the slice and was reaching for the next! The dough, sauce & veggies were very good...and they put garlic butter on the crust, etc. But, you gotta ask for the garlic butter (so don't miss it). They can also send along xtra little garlic butter containers! Anyway, if you're looking for a different kinda pizza...look no further than Marco's / Hulen! I'll definitely be going back... Just had a party of 30 for my dance company. We go to Fort Worth every year with the cheerleaders convention. Last year was a disaster since we didnt make reservations and all the restaurants were of course booked. This year I called Cabo a couple of weeks before and even though they already had reservation for this group, they were able to accommodate us. I was so thankful and I changed the number of people twice. Even that same day in the morning. we went from 30 to 60 from my original reservation. Managers were very understanding and willing to help us. They said they were gonna do everything possible to make it happen but that we will have to move our reservation 30 min later. Which we didnt mind for a group of that size. We had several servers and everything went smooth even though we requested separate checks. Food was very good and servers were prompt and kept our drinks full. Next year we will definitely be back. See you next year Cabo.
My brother had been after me to try this restaraunt for a year. We gave in and went on a Sat evening. This place is so unpretentious, no flashing lights, no big signs. Just a very small corner restaraunt just on the edge of the Stockyards area. When you walk in, you may ask yourself if this is the right place....believe me it is. The wait staff are quiet, but very attentive. The food is made when you order it, and on your table before you know it. It is original Mexican fare and cannot be beat. It is well prepared, perfect portions, and tastes incredible. We will definitely go back. They serve beer, no margaritas, and Mexican Coca Cola. Enchiladas are perfect without a sign of greasiness. Chips and hot sauce are great. Do yourself a favor, find your way to the Northside of Fort Worth and try Dos Molinos. You will be happy you did.
The lobster-stuffed clams and bruschetta crostini were great starters to our meal. Next, my husband had roasted mushroom soup. Their bread with olive oil and freshly cracked pepper is amazing! Ray, our server, was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I ended up choosing the Penne Rustica (roasted chicken, shrimp, proscuitto, parmesan cheese, and penne pasta cooked in a rosemary cream sauce. Fresh parmesan was grated onto the entree at the table. (Can you say yum?!) My hubby chose lasagna bolognese (no explanation necessary). The bread and sweet tea were replenished frequently. Lastly, the desserts looked so tempting, but we waddled out of the place as it was. Maybe we can save room for those for next time. I would definitely recommend this place!
I would definitely say that Cabo Grande is my favorite place to dine. I took my mother to Cabo for her Birthday and I was pleasantly surprised that they have a Cuban sandwich on the menu as well as Caldo Gallego. I haven't had either the sandwich or the soup ever since I left Miami. Also the sandwich was as good as I used to have at La Carreta Cuban sandwiches in Miami. My mother had the Brazilian boneless ribs and she also said that the dish was so good and now she wants us to come back with my father. I'm in for another visit to Cabo and next time I'm going to try their famous Cabo Rita to see what's it like. At any rate Cabo is my new 5 star restaurant food and service. My waitress was Pam ans she did a great job making us feel welcome.
For under seven dollars you get all you can eat pizza and soda. The managers are great here so in turn the staff are great too. You do get what you pay for here unfortunately. The quality of food is low. "Cardboard pizza" is the reoccuring term I hear to discribe the taste of the pizza. Look at other pizza chains food quality and you can see big room for improvement. If you have kids this is the place to go. If you don't have a lot of cash this also is the place to go. If you take a look at their marketing materials you will notice a theme, the store is ment to be for kids. Even the pictures on the wall in the stores are testamony to this. But I do have to say I like it! Cheap and filling! Great for college students.
